First topic message reminder :

I realized ang dami pala nating mga experience or small tricks in using Vray Sketchup.. I am starting a post here to share these tips and tricks.. so mga VRAY SU users share nyo sa inyo.

1. Avoiding Color bleed trick.
VraySkethup has no Vray overidde material in correcting color bleeding. this is how you avoid it.

- Render your scene with IR (ist engine) and LC (second engine) you have to disable texture maps. Hit render. Once IR and LC has been calculated, stop rendering and saved the maps.
- Reload the saved IR and LC calcualtions.
- This time hit render again and enable texture maps.

2. Automatic Displacement

- Group the face you want to displace.

3. Using Normal Maps as Bump maps

- If you want a nice bump map, Normal maps works better than bump map. If you want to create a normal map. Download a photoshop Plugin - Nvidia...

sa photoshop dali lang bro. marmaing approaches pero ang pnakano talga is how to have plants with nice contrast between background at trees. so sa photoshop pwede kang gumait nalang ng magic wand. o di kaya ay select color range.

kapag naselect mo na. choose another layer and paint white sa positive image (tree) at black sa negative. yun na ang isave mo as alpha/clipmap

kung irradiance engine ang gamit mo usually naglilight leak kapag mababa min at max nya... so taasan mo lang one step at at time muna. i think yung -2,0 ok na yun.

why not try dmc (qmc sa lumang version). mas matagal ang calculation syempre pero no light leaks. also frown sa noise. so dapt babaan mo noise naman to correct it which will lead eventually to longer render time.

in terms of fast calc. i will go with higher min max sa irradiance map na lang. and at the same time i save ang mga nacalculate mo at ireload mo nalang uli. para next time hindi mo na sya i cacalculate.

vray SU has no render region, but you can use track mouse while rendering to force vray to render those area wher you pointed the mouse. then kung ayaw mo yung render madaling i cancel para i tweak yung area na gusto mong makita kaagad.

use emissive layer. punta kasa material editor, create material. tapos yung plus sign sa kabila ng vray material mo buksan mo at add emmissive layer. yung color yun ang color ng light mo, then yung intensity kung gaano mo sya gustong kaliwanag.

bro skyscraper, I think ung nkita mong grey is background un ng site na ito, bka kc PNG file un kaya walang BG un.. tignan mo ung pgquote mo, white na xa... pero ewan, hintayin nlng natin c sir nomer bka may clas p.hehe.

Pwd dn under environment, check GI use color lng like light blue, amount 1. Then, check Background use color lng dn which is grey or try red first for test..

Under camera, uncheck physical camera.. Very Happy

UV Values.

1. Native Sketchup Materials
If you apply map textures by using Sketchup. Vray will copy the UV coordinates. IT means that if you have mapped a texture in SU to fit an area of 1mx1m and then add a bump map where you set the UV Repeat values to 0.5 the bump map will fit an area of 2mx2m. If you set the UV values to 2 then it'll fit an area of 0.5mx0.5m. As we know we can always control in sketchup how the map will apply in our scene.

2.Without Native sketchup Materials.
if you did not apply a native sketchup texture in the Diffuse layer, then all textures you add in the other layers will fit to 1inch x inch area or 2.54cmx2.54cm (kahit anung size ng bitmap mo it will apply with only 1inch x 1 inch). And to get your textures at the correct size you'd then have to calculate the correct repeat values.

Conclusion:

It's therefore best to map your textures in SU as that gives a much more reliable and predictable result. Using only the V-Ray UV values might be a hit and miss.

on the other hand, i often use different bump texture (gamit ko normal maps which is different from the diffuse map) i then look at the size of my applied diffuse texture size (e.g. 600px x 600px) then i use photoshop and rework my bump material using the same size.

Mga masters hindi ba mahirap pagaralan ang v-ray for su?gusto ko sana pagaralan kaso baka mahirapan ako pag ala tutorials?
Tska mga sir ala ba pwedeng kunan ng old verssion ng v-ray for su?30 days trial lang kasi yung pwede sa asgivis?

parsing problem yun bro kaya bumagal. kasi yung vray ay nangangapa sa mpagcalculate ng mga texture ng SU. meron isang plugin to correct than using remove C-G material ruby. punta ka nalang sa ASGvis to download it.
