Canon 500D or Nikon D90?

First topic message reminder :

Hello guys, for the benefit of our foreign members, I will start talking in english now. It seems this community is growing so fast, we are attracting so many diverse people to join... AMAZING!

Anyway, back to my question...

Canon 500D or Nikon D90?

Any advice will help. I am not biased to the brand nor too concerned with the price difference of each kit, since they are almost the same. What I'm concerned is Features and Savings that I might get in the long run... I have looked into each camera's feature and they almost level out in positive and the negatives, I just want to hear from the experts on what they think.

Canon provides the tools that encompass the whole workflow from image capture (cameras & lenses) until output (inkjet printers, etc.).

Other brands like Nikon are only good for electric fans to cool your head after a shoot

Im not a nikon user not canon either but i have respect for these 2 brands of camera..Definitely produced good,sharp and quality images..

d90 na bibilhin ko..salamat sa thread na to!!!! (pag iipunan ko muna mga master)

5Dmk2 user ako!!! dapat canon ung I-recomend ko sayo. Kaso between the two of your choice mag Nikon D90 ka na lang. Mas madami use full feature kasi.

kahit Canon 500D user ako, I would say D90 is better than 500D in terms of the features and kit lens na kasama.

the only question is, how much is your budget?
kung kaya mo naman mag D90, go for it.

pahabol... meron bang AF yung body ng Cannon 500D. I think this is really an excellent feature ng Nikon D90 especially when you have cheap manual lenses.

CANON 500D po kasi lesser po ang noise ng canon compared to nikon ^_^

i've got a canon 500d and it serves me well..and the price is much lower than the D90... paired with a canon ef 70-200 f/4 L lens it's unbeatable hehehe... you can canon ika nga

in terms of ergonomics though d90 is bulkier than the 500d(canon entry level body) the d90 has more grip, if you want a top lcd for your settings the d90 has it,canon dont put top lcd on their entry level bodies/upper-entry-level. while specs wise the 500d is better than the d90 i think, with 15mp, 1080p video full hd video. they have the same 920k dots 3"LCD.and another thing,the d90's kit lens has a longer focal range (18-105) than the 500d's usual 18-55mm. hope this one helps:) kahit ano mabili mo basta ma enjoy at magamit mo ng maayos..

then I will recommend Nikon D90 kasi pwede mong gamitin ang mga murang manual lense, like yung mga tamron lens na 70-300 na 160 usd lang dito sa vietnam compare with the same specs na AF na pagkamahal mahal.

Canon 500D user ako and it serves me well....tama rin si sir necrolyte it really depends on how much budget you have...
buy ka na lang ng extra lens dun sa sobra mong pera....
