About Philippine architecture.
Hi po mga CGpinoy pipol..
As an architecture student po, gusto ko po sanang i apply ang Philippine architecture as a Form in my designs kaso di ko alam kung pano ko uumpisahan...
Hope to hear from you guys

Re: About Philippine architecture.
Bago k lng b dto sir? welcome sir s cgpinoy? aniwe nice question, alam m b n Philippine architecture inspires me most mula nung nag aaral p ako hanggang s nagtratrabaho n ako. Bahay kubo is the one of the best example for me everytime I come up of my Design concept. Research m works n Archt.
Naranasan k kasi tumira s bahay kubo nuong maliit p ako and I was very glad when I saw manosa kitchen kc na adopt nya tlga ang kitchen ng isang bahay kubo.Mostly Manosa and Locsin desires to come up with the style of Modern Bahay kubo ang pagkakaiba lng ni manosa he put glass Doors and glass windows
unlike locsin use natural ventilation tlga no glass and no walls kc bakit? Natural ventilation is one of the most important thing
in a Bahay kubo. Alam m b sir n, the theisis when I was in college begins in Phil archture? and how can you imagine
to make a structure like International Trade Center na ang Design Concept is Philippine architecture? Well as a Designer dpat nmn tlga eh kasi if I wer given a chance to Design a Trade Center gusto ko Philippine architecture pero Modern type kc ito n
ung chance n mkilala ang Philippine architecture s buong mundo. Medyo napahaba n yta ang story ko sir natuwa lng kc ako s Question m eh kc nkikita k syo ang sarili ko nuon nag aaral p ako tulad m n Minahal ang sariling atin at
may hangarin n ipagmalaki ang Philippine architecture s Buong mundo. Ginwa ko to pra ma inspire k sir..God bless s gagawin m
n project................

Re: About Philippine architecture.
Salamat po sir Austria, Nakakainspire po talaga.. Hehe muntik akong mapaluha. hehe
Sa ngayon blanko pa isip ko, but with research and inspiration from CGP pipol siguro magkakaroon din..
God Bless din po sir..

Nung 4th yr college ako nagka plate kami called " Cultural Center for Southern Philippines".
Re: About Philippine architecture.

Re: About Philippine architecture.
Arch. Noche's article more or less summed up what the Filipino Architecture is. a mixture of styles--very much influenced by colonialism and emergence of contemporary visionary architects such as Locsin, B. Manosa, etc. the challenge for new architects is to find a visionary style of their own. a style that may still be influenced by colonialism or evolved from other styles as long as it's relevant to Philippine context. relevant to the local climate, materials, culture, and now made even more challenging due to green or environmental requirements (world context). the term 'visionary' is like a branding as nowadays it's not easy to impose one designers vision to a project due to client's issues (budget plays a big role). at the end of the day, even when a project didn't turn out to be aesthetically pleasing, as long as the deadline and budget is met and client is happy, then it still is proudly a Filipino Style.
