HELP! Philippine Immigration Empty HELP! Philippine Immigration

Post by em_t Mon Mar 08, 2010 6:23 pm

Good day sa lahat ng mga Filipino Expats na and2 ngayun sa UAE.

Just need help ASAP kaya napa post po ako sa cgpinoy.M currently residing in the
Philippines and got an employer in Sharjah,UAE an arch'l company.Direct hire po ako
and they issued me na a PERMANENT RESIDENCE VISA.Ang gusto ko po sana na
maipapadala po nila are the original copy of my Visa and my Working permit for
Phil.immigration purposes.
permit i should be there (UAE) personally for my medical exam daw and it will take 14
days pa to process the working permit and they need me ASAP na.

Ang tanong ko lang po.If my PERMANENT RESIDENCE VISA na is on my possession pwede
sa akin? bale ang dala ko lang to exit phils.and to present sa immigration are my Visa, passport,
NBI and a valid id?

And pwede bang sa UAE nalang ako mismo mag apply ng clearance from POEA?ang tagal pa
palang e-process d2 (phils.) it will take a month and ang dami pang babayaran.

This sounds good already. Lucky you. I think POEA can answer all your questions since dun talaga sa kanila nangyayari ang lahat ng legalities. What you can get from our friends here are personal experiences which may or may not help since these terms are ever changing or improving in time. Good luck!

Kase kung Permanent Resident ang status mo, you have the right to live, work & study in that country.

Happy Trip at Goodluck! Very Happy

Yung sinasabi naman ni natski, nangyayari yan kung di ka pa "permanent resident". usually direct hire din sila kaso yung papel nila pina-process na dun sa country na pupuntahan nila. so ang nangyayari, lumalabas sila ng pinas on a "tourist visa" so dapat prepare ka ng show money, dapat din you should look convincing din na turista ka talaga, specially dun sa immigration ng country na pupuntahan mo... (may nadede-port nyan kase walang show money, at di mukhang turista)

Considered as Migrant Workers ka na, Permanent Visa is your key to in and out in here in UAE, kailangan lang talaga na nandito ka na for processing ng visa stamps sa passport mo at medical.

And they need me na ASAP sa UAE.

Hope to hear more pa po from all Filipino Expats.
Salamat po sa pagsagot.

hi,
if you had your permanent visa, they dont have to ask you anything.

Bsta bring with you the original documents para wala na masyadong tanong
pagdating sa Immigration.

Note:
Base from experience lng naman).

Tama c cubi_o

Yea, mukhang di pa nga PR c sir em t, and sir warren68 made a good explanation on that.
To add, if your application for PR or immigrant is approved while nasa Pinas, dapat makipag-ugnayan ka lang sa DFA (ibang department ang DFA sa Immigration, mas kurap ang immigration kesa sa DFA Twisted Evil ), they will require you to pass some documents, attend a seminar, and they will stamp your passport to show that you've completed necessary documentation... ginagawa eto days or weeks prior to your departure... di ka pwedeng umalis ng walang stamp yung passport ng DFA or else haharangin ka pagpasok sa immigration at di ka makaalis...
Another situation naman. kunyari nasa SG or UAE kana at dun ka na nag-apply at na-approve yung PR or immigrant application mo, sa Phil embassy nlng punta mo, andun na rin kase lahat na kakailanganin para sa documentation mo...
If you're leaving the country on "tourist or visit" visa, walang gaanong requirements eto, prepare money for terminal fee and a liitle bit of show money (kung kinakailangan)...

Ok naman ako sa POEA at OWWA na yan kasi nakakatulong in behalf of our part.Pero they (employer ) need me ASAP na eh.

Twisted Evil

Post by v_wrangler Wed Mar 10, 2010 7:38 pm

Except for Permamnent Residents of any foreign country, anyone going out of the Philippines, whether you are a direct hire or otherwise - will have to secure the OEC from the POEA. You would have to attend a Pre-departure Orientation, take a health check up and would have to pay membership to OWWA.

If you are leaving the country with the intention of working (Working Visa) and you do not have the OEC (exit clearance), you will be stopped by the immigration officer from boarding your plane.

Some people will go on another country in disguise of a tour and enter the final working destination through this territory in order to avoid the hassles of the law.

Post by natski08 Wed Mar 10, 2010 8:38 pm

Overseas Employment Certificate

What is an OEC?

An overseas employment certificate (OEC), is a requirement under POEA Rules and Regulaitons to help ensure that Filipino overseas workers (OFWs) are properly documented and protected.

Only OFWs are required to get an OEC. In this case, OFWs would include: work permit holders such as domestic helpers, etc. as well as S-pass and E-pass holders. PRs, EPEC holders and OJTs are not required to get OECs.

Used OEC, whether regular or multiple, is a requirement to be submitted to the Department of Tourism to avail travel tax reduction for OFW dependents.
