kietsmark wrote:about sa scaling bro... you can try this... please correct me if i am wrong...
1. go to paperspace > TM enter then type "0" or click the layout button na lang hehehe
2. type "MS" enter >>> to activate modelspace in paperspace then type "Z" then enter >>> type 10/700xp then enter
3. the logic is... 10/10xp will give you 1:1 printout so 10/100xp is 1:10, 10/200 is 1:20, and so on...
i will check din ung working drawings ko sa bahay to confirm this... dati kasi english system ang gamit ko sa previous work ko... i hope makatulong...
to add.....just activate the viewport toolbar. pagcreate mo ng viewport sa paperspcae, makikita mo kaagad sa viewport toolbar kung anong scale ng viewport ang need mo..

yan na rin un bro...
in order for you to test kung tama ung scaling na binigay ko...
1. go to dimension style then enable mo ung display alternate units sa "alternate units tab"
2. create a rectangle muna say 5'x5' then plot mo by using 10/500xp (1:50) or kung ano ung gusto mo scale mo kung tama sa 1:50
@sir kietmark
ok sir try ko yung sabi nyu...follow ko yung sinbi nyu
natry ko na yung first...test scale ko is 10/700xp..lumiit naman sir?ok lang ba yun?

pasensya na sir,,,hindi po tinuturo sa min ng prof namin sa cad...panay self learning lang ginagwa namin kaya most of us is pahirapan sa pagaaral ng cad....mas madami pa nga akong natutunan dito sa cgp kesa subject namin yun..
ang instruction lang nya kasi samin lagi is fit to paper...which is yung 8.5x13 na bond paper kaya ang ginagaw ko is gingawa ko yung drawing in 1:1 scale then scale ko para kumasya sa papel..try and try lang ginagwa until makuha ko yung scale na target ko..then overide ko yung sukat para parehas sa binigay nyang problem....
sir meron bang tutorial on how to scale in viewport dito sa cgp?

hehehe ang principle nya kasi sir is nasaamin ang responsibility to teach ourself....tama nga naman sya dun kaso sana magturo din sya tulad nun how to print to scale na yun or something like that..panisin ko nga lang tuwing yun ang subject ko is ang role lang nya is to give a plate and conduct exam....yung mga nkatapos nga ng cad sa kanya pansin nila na pinpahirapan daw yung batch namin....ewan ko kasi dun sa ibang kaklase ko ..patawa tawa sila dun eh nainsulto ata yung prof ko...kaya ganun ang gaingawa nya samin...
tsk tsk tsk kaya nga rin nagstart na ko magaral ng 3d cad by my own kasi sigurado akong mas mahihirapan kami dun..

Re: English Scaling help............
My take on this...
If your Cad default dimension is using "metric system" you need to change it to "English System - Architectural" first before you start drawing... 2 kelangan i-change...
Heres how to do it...
1. Go to > Format > Units > Units... > Drawing Units > Lenght: Type - Architectural - Precision = 1/16" > click OK...
Now, we will setup the "unit" for dimension style:
2. Go to > Format > Dimension Style > Style = (ex. Standard) > Modify > Primary Units > Unit Format = Architectural,
Precision = 1/16" > OK
Then you can start your drawing, dimensions etc...
Heres how to setup scale:
1. Go to Layout Page and do Page Setup according to the printer and the paper you'll gonna use...
2. Draw your title block, or just paste it kung meron kana na-prepare, resize it to fit your paper...
3. Create ka ng viewport dito kana mag-scale ng drawing mo... maraming ways kung paano gawin eto... (i hope alam mo gamitin eto)
heres one way: Type "vports" > single > OK > then pick ka ng 2 points sa paper mo to create the rectangular viewport...
To change the scale your viewport is using, Click the viewport you just made, then Right click > Object Properties > Standard Scale (here you specify the scale you want to use) you might do some trial and error here para ma-fit mo ng maayos yung drawing mo sa viewport....
Hope makatulong eto...

render master wrote:ishae_clanx wrote:salamat render master...nagabala pa kayu....great help.....problema ko lang sir kung anong ilalagay kong scale nya...updat ko nalng once nagawa yung sugestion ni sir kietsmark........
eto yan sir, i bet you know how to scale in viewport
Hi master, i'm wondering why you use 1:70 scale?
For practical reasons we shouldn't use such irregular scale... we usually follow the standard transition nung scale
•1:1, 1:10
•1:2, 1:20
•1:5, 1:50
•1:100, 1:200
•1:500, 1:1000
•1:1250, 1:2500
Reason is, pag may nakaligtaan kang dimension or kulang sa dimension yung drawing mo mahihirapan yung site people to pull dimension on a drawing na 1:70 scale... wala naman kase silang scale ruler, and besides wala rin eto sa scale ruler at kahit na may scale ruler hirap pa rin gamitin 1:70 scale... sa site kase usually yung steel measuring tape, yun na rin ginagamit nilang pang scale ng drawing...

You're welcome... another tip on viewport u can make any object as long na closed polyline sya into a viewport... like circle, triangle, any shape... usually ginagawa natin eto kung may hina-highlight or ini-enlarge tayong detail
