WIRES (please click image for full size)
VRAY RENDER SETUP
*render time for each image is around 45mins - 1 hour in quad.. hindi pa po kasi ako sanay w/ vray proxy
LIGHTS & CAMERA SETUP
i would like to thank master guru for the army of tutorials he transferred to my hard disk.. & for vray sun & physical cam setups, i found these very helpful:
vray sun

vray physical camera

MATERIALS
i usually enhance some of my materials ng PS before i use it in a certain scene.. thanks to sir bokkins' bump/
displacement tests (here's the thread -> Understanding UV Mapping & Displacement ) w/c i really found handy especially for the bumps w/c i use.. thank you very much sir bokkins.

other materials were defaults from evermotion.. i just adjusted some of the tilings, bump values & most of the subdivs.. min is 16.. highest is around 40.. pasensya na po medyo marami i uploaded the other mats settings here.
& of course, thank you very much CGPinoy.

thanks po sir namby_pamby.. ah hehe.. i've thought of adding some details rin sa ceiling.. but i decided to keep it plain & simple w/ just mouldings & that already intricately designed chandelier sa center.. so as to direct the eye mainly below.. & give more focus sa harmony ng furniture along with the prints & patterns na medyo marami narin kasi hehehe.. pero thank you so much for the suggestion sir ha. i might give it a try din.. baka bagay nga salamat po. sa uulitin.
Re: plate no. 3 - prints & plains... (w/ settings)
wow i just saw this now and the renders are really great.
would like to request:
1. the material settings
2. lighting setup
3. and finally, render parameters (color mapping used, IR settings etc), render time as well?
too much to ask - but it would really help us a lot to see how it was done.
excellent job!

Re: plate no. 3 - prints & plains... (w/ settings)
wow thank you very much sir mushroom for the compliments. yeah i would gladly post the settings here.. i'm actually flattered lalo na po wala pa akong masyadong kaalaman but if it would help, i'd be glad to. bale, this wasn't yet proxied, rendertime ko po dito is around 1 hour, 1000x800px, ir+lc, anti aliasing filter-catmull-rom, color mapping-exponential, min subdivs for the materials were all set to 16, those with reflections & are far from my light source were around 25-30.. di bale post ko nalang po yung screen shots asap. i left my files po kasi sa office. again, thank you sir for visiting my post

i knew it - this was exponential! the contrast is really good. indeed i agree the quality is at par with jeff's honestly your and jeff's renders are the benchmarks we try to emulate.
reminds me of paul and karen's tandem - they both do terrific renders as well :p
looking forward to the settings maam. thanks!

Re: plate no. 3 - prints & plains... (w/ settings)
Yeah. Christine you already have the powers. You just need to make them work and be seen.
But since I am the vertex and the vertex is beholden to none; allow me to share my honest feelings:
You are very good. Bright Potentials! In fact too good enough that your work looks like Jeff's. While that could be a compliment to you and it really is considering how great of an artists the groom is. I would still insist you look at the other side and become you. The great Christine.
Because I care enough I don't want to look at your work and think its Jeff's.
I could probably start thinking or future suggestions how to go about the individuality thing in 3D, but it has to start from within you.
We must be looking at the SAME thing first.
Yoroshiku onegai itashimasu.
