Re: Major Plate no. 1
Ingat lang sa paggamit ng AO. If you aren't careful magmumukhang molds yang mga singit-singityan ng object mo rather than make it look like soft shadows (which is the pupose of the occlusion!)
If you are adding them via PS, try to tint the colors, don't use em pointblank- multiply its layer, lessen opacity, etc.
Isa pa, don't be afraid to widen the range of the occlusion or add noise to distort the rather straight linear look.
Lumayo ka ng konti sa monitor, singkit mo mata mo and you will realize that the AO you made looks like a perfect dark line. That's not how it should be.
Tropaks et al - I was 10 wen I learnt how human reproduction work.
Which means - curiosity does not care for age or sex. It will feed yer brain and make you strong.
So lets start em all young.

sir mcgoogles, ayos itong plate mo, comment ko nalang po, pwede na nating tangalin yung element near the glass (somehow looked like burj al arab), and yung structure plus the 3d cutout na signage sa tuktok. thanks for sharing and good luck dyan, dapat makauno ah, hehehe...

Stryker - dumi ng esep mo ha. 10 ako nang na-memorize ko ang human reproduction. Sa Science class!
mammoo - you'll have to explain better why you think it has to be removed. As for me - I had no problem with that - I thought it was part of the architectural design. Unless it will be a hazard per architectural or engineering code.

inside gutter po ba? ngayon ko lang nalaman ung term na yun sir, thank you for the info.. noted po yun sir.. salamat po..
yung mga signage po kasi, may symbolism yan with regards to the city, (DAVAO) nasali ko na yan sa research works ko..about sa element near the glass, architectural lang po yan, di ko din naman patern sa burj... nagkataon lang siguro...mammoo_03 wrote:sir mcgoogles, ayos itong plate mo, comment ko nalang po, pwede na nating tangalin yung element near the glass (somehow looked like burj al arab), and yung structure plus the 3d cutout na signage sa tuktok. thanks for sharing and good luck dyan, dapat makauno ah, hehehe...
makauno ba sir? hmmmmm mahirap ata yun.. mahina ako sa manual drafting eh, tsaka dipende din sa space allocations and planning...
btw.. salamat po sa pagdaan.. ^^

napataas po yung riser.. scaled po yung tao.. ^^ salamat po sir..
bakit po hindi ok ung tile roofing? nasira ba ang design pag ganun?

Re: Major Plate no. 1
para sakin lng bro yes, kc ung bldg is dominated by modern/contemporary plus meron p ung steel designs sa front.. But of course i know meron kang reasons bkit ganyan gnawa mo (cguro sa site history or other factors) mixing ng modern with still the usual city hall designs in the philippines.. usual ito sa mga provinces or small cities... pero Imho lng un, you have your concepts go for it.

thanks po sir.. tama po kayo, mixed modern design tska ung usual na nakikita natin sa city hall.. para sakin kasi, iba din kasi pag puro modern lahat at magmumukha ng festive ang concept... more on monumental kasi to and mixed with modern...

Re: Major Plate no. 1
@sir wrangler, for me mas magiging feasible yung design kung wala yung mga elements. the simplier the better. in addition city hall's main function is to serve, i guess the main concept na dapat pagtuunan ay yung workflow of spaces (integration), its relationships with other departments, etc.
Re: Major Plate no. 1
@sir mcgoogles, check mo rin yung floor levels mo (integration of departments), and specify also categorize mo yung function of city hall on your space allocations. check also kung kailangan bang nandyan din sa city hall ang hall of justice? good luck.

opo sir, yun po ginawa ko sa pag allocate ng spaces and space planning... salamat sirmammoo_03 wrote:@sir mcgoogles, check mo rin yung floor levels mo (integration of departments), and specify also categorize mo yung function of city hall on your space allocations. check also kung kailangan bang nandyan din sa city hall ang hall of justice? good luck.

I agree its important to highlight integration.
I tried googling weird city halls And it proves it aint bad at all.
Allow me then to assume that you are just speaking on your own personal design preference.
On the contrary - I think its kind of a step in the right direction to free oneself from the influences of commonality. Flex your arms, that's design per se. I have no problem with design as long as you can defend its feasibilty. I will give you an uno for courage!
As for its feasibilty - many questions come to mind, does your city have such funding, does it pose health hazrds, does it blend well with the natural environment, does it stick like sore thumb. Will your people feel motivated to participate in the beautification of the municipality...
freedom - its a good thing!
