Redevelopment of the Pioneering Wake Park in the Philippines

I am an incoming 5th year architecture student and i'm just about to start with my thesis. I'm planning to re-design the existing Lago de Oro cable wake park. I've been there and through my experience and observation, the place looks old and they lack some of the important facilities. Because of the growing market and popularity of Camsur Watersports Complex and the new innovative and international design of Republic Wake Park of Nuvali in Laguna, I think Lago de Oro will be left behind in terms of their market and architecture. This problem inspires me to re-design the wake park but I have still doubts if it would be a great idea and if it is a good site for my thesis.

I would just want to hear some of your comments about this idea and/or would also be glad if you can give suggestions.

good luck sayo dito bro!. hintayin na lang natin ibang mga master dito. concern ko lang dito yung transportation, hindi pa kasi ako nakakapag commute papunta dyan e. so parang magiilang sakay ka pa. btw, dyan din kami naglalaro. medyo mahal nga lang entrance kumpara sa camsur, mas malapit lang kasi kaya, kaya nilang magdemand ng mahal na entrance. hehe. anyways, hintay na lang tayo sa mga master's dito. good luck!

ay! oo nga rin po eh..medyo malayo pa rin. Accessible pero mahirap kapag walang sariling sasakyan.. pero kapag daw po may event o competition dun, yung mga foreigners and other visitors, may shuttle service ang Lago sa airport at sa Batangas pier. Tapos yung Republic Wake Park sa Laguna mas malapit na sa city.. though kaya po napili ko ang Lago de oro kasi sa Lago may beach at mas malapit ang tao sa nature, tapos yung sa Laguna wala. tapos sa palagay ko po pagdating ng panahon magiging crowded na sa Laguna. future Makati na kasi yun e..so baka po masyado na rin urban yung environment dun..pag sa Lago di lang po yung sports at yung architecture and ma-popromote kundi pati po yung natural beauty ng Philippines.

Malaki pa ang space ng area so I think magandang place ito for thesis. Study resort development since ito ang magandang gawin dito. Strategic ang area since meron syan shoreline, take advantage mo ito. Upgrade mo din ang ski park mismo. madami pang pwedeng gawin dito not just wake board. explore the possibilities. good luck!

Dun ako unang nakatayo sa wakeboard sa lago de oro kaya malapit sa puso ko. try ko tong sa nuvali, gusto ko makita difference. di pa ako nakapagcamsur, malayo sobra. if ang feeling ng nuvali at lago ay same lang, I see a good potential sa project mo. If mas maganda sa nuvali, dapat yung thesis mo ay dapat mas maganda pa ng sobra sobra para magkaron ng sense.. 2 more hours pa kasi and travel nyan on the average traffic jam. good luck!

oo nga po eh.. under construction pa nga lang po sa nuvali pero nung nakita ko mga pics ng master plan mukang modern na po talaga.. pero parang maliit lang.. basta po bibisita rin po ako dun sa nuvali for research.

sir bokkins paano pong unang nakatayo?. medyo hindi ko nagets ito. ang pinagkaiba daw po sa nuvali at lago eh yung hatak ng cable. ang nabanggit sa akin mas mabilis daw sa lago kesa sa nuvali.? anyway, research and actual observation talaga ang makakapag meet sa mga requirements at taste mo good luck sa thesis!

Mahirap tumayo sa wakeboard. Yun lang ang ibig kong sabihin.

Adjustable ang speed ng cable. Dun sa lago, pag may mga competitors, binibilisan nila ang hatak, para makatalon ng maayos sa ramps.
