Rendering stereoscopic views
remember the film avatar?
http://features.cgsociety.org/story_custom.php?story_id=5434
It seems to me after the avatar film, more and more rendering engine and 3d apps have revive to render "stereoscopic views"- stereoscopic view are anaglyph image that is 3D image for reb-blue glasses, and creates interleave image that is 3D image for LC-shutter glasses, from your stereo photograph pair.
there was the same discussion at sketchucation about this matter. and i will be using resources from them.
the concept is like this image below.
![Rendering stereoscopic views 3dTV](https://2img.net/h/i188.photobucket.com/albums/z306/nomeradona/3dTV.jpg)
Basically cross your eyes till you get a third 3D image in the middle of the two images on the screen.
now the generation 3d tv's are here.. will the computer monitors follow. or even demo reels? i am speculating that this craze will happen again... so render enthusiast will we present our render using cyan and red glasses?
some softs have adapted this like
walkabout 3d and lightup http://www.walkabout3d.com/
here is a free link to create stereoscopic views
http://www.stereoeye.jp/software/index_e.html
this is actually not an old concept. but with creation of high sensitive softwares. the feeling of dizziness will be gone soon. so i guess this old 3d will be revived again.
what do you think?
