first try with rendering

hi guys right now im practicing on rendering, vray1.5 for sketchup, recently ko lang natutunan gumawa ng material, kanina lang actually, i still need some practice, right now i dont have any idea with the settings, my friend gave me a vispot, "hi_ir_map.vispot" i dont know what effects it can create, can anyone give me tutorials about settings? settings for dummies only, i read some of the vray manual but i dont understand everything.
