Making a 3d model for my demoreel.
Here's the concept art.
Henco, a human who was imprisoned and supposed to be transformed in to a Human Hunter, but was able to escape. When he was in prison, a mask was put on his face to impair his vision and which he could not remove since it is engraved to his head to the point that the nails is hammered through his skull. He had a hard time surviving during his escape since he's blind, but a dying elf merged with him which gave him strength and powerful senses. He used his newly found gifts to survive and was able to meet a knight retired Hermit who trained him to use weapons. Now, he is in a journey to destroy the very entities that captures humans and turn them into savage monsters that hunt their own kind.

Look at the size of that whammer!
I like the way the features in the concept art are true to the back story or inspired by, but in this case the concept art tells alot. Like the elf ear and tattoo and hair may have something to do with him being saved by an elf and trained by a hermit (I guess). Looking forward to the model, still or anim short? Good luck!

miguel: thanks man. Yea i guess you can say that. I plan to model him with an intent of animating him in the future but as of now its just going to be a still, i guess.

just completed the base mesh. I just established the overall look, still have to up-res the face a bit although it won't be seen, just like what i said, I included the face for practice. I know the ears need some fixing, a little stiff right now, have to make it a little big and more taller away from the head. Neck must be longer though. will do that.

bro why not try some wires coming out on the arms......to make it a little bit messy.....like the head gear by the way, very cool!!!!

f-fortyone: thanks for dropping by. wires? do you mean more wrinkles? sorry hindi ko gets hehe, If its the latter, I plan to, I just need to see the whole arm picture with the hands in place to see if I need to put more details in the modeling stage or just in the texturing.

- made the belt and the toot protector hehe. There are also buckles in the back and those will be where his weapon sheaths will be bolted.
- for the leather part of the belt or rather the cloth part, I made the folds already but I may put some more in zbrush for normal map.
-made the pants, though not really final. Modeled some folds although some are very subtle. Will put more in zbrush.

This is his primary weapon. Its actually a dual sword but the big one acts as the sheath of the Short Katana. It fools his enemies into thinking he has only one sword and if ever the need arises he can use the other one as summons the sword to increase his offensive powers and at the same time surprise his adversities.
