Making a 3d model for my demoreel.

Here's the concept art.

Henco, a human who was imprisoned and supposed to be transformed in to a Human Hunter, but was able to escape. When he was in prison, a mask was put on his face to impair his vision and which he could not remove since it is engraved to his head to the point that the nails is hammered through his skull. He had a hard time surviving during his escape since he's blind, but a dying elf merged with him which gave him strength and powerful senses. He used his newly found gifts to survive and was able to meet a knight retired Hermit who trained him to use weapons. Now, he is in a journey to destroy the very entities that captures humans and turn them into savage monsters that hunt their own kind.

Here's the color and texture development art I did for Henco. But I wouldn't make the armor that weary and damaged. As you can see his right arm has blood aura around it and the other half with smoke. I was thinking about what effects and power he has and I just thought that he would be cool to have two powers. One is from the right hand he got from the elf that merged with him when he was barely surviving that will give him the power to manipulate his blood into a weapon and energy and the other from a teaching he mastered from his master ( the hermit knight ), the manipulation of smoke. Next will be the texturing. I'll do the normal map first.

Dude this is awesome! I envy your character skills! Sad Sad

One thing though, the boots texture looks like its made of stone. Pero looks like you're still in the paintover stage. I'm pretty sure you'll do something about it when it comes to actual texturing.

It probably looks like stone due to the weariness but your right, I'll totally do something and make sure it will look like not stone but metal armor when I make the shader for those boots.

Bro, I think mas gusto ko yung walang kulay. Mas makikita ko yung detalye kasi. Nawala yung detalye kasi. Opinion ko lang po yun. Pero if you really want to present it na me kulay okey din po.

Master Eric! Nandito ka rin pala! Ngayun ko lang nalaman LOL, akala ko kasi nasa 3dpinoy ka.Rami mo pala mga post, nakita ko rin mga matte mo, scan lang madali, Ikaw ang nagLevel up! 10 folds hehe. Pero dati ka ng malupit. Thanks sa comment, hindi pa naman final yan. Gnawa ko lang yung sculpt as bust kasi gusto ko rin gumawa ng first bust ko LOL. Saka ang intention ko talaga ai para sa color and texture development. Kaya nagsculpt ako sa nagoverlay lang ng color. Nagsisimula palang ako magsculpt ulit para sa texture. Yan ang reference ko hehehe. Plano ko kasi detailed na character but optimize for animation. Below 100K ang polycount. hehe. Gnagaya ko kasi workflow ni Alex Alvarez. Medyo matagal lang ang paggawa ko kasi nagaasikaso ako pauwi ng pinas ngayun LOL. Thanks sa pagdaan. rep ako sa mga obramaestra mo tongue

di ba magagawa sa max ung ganitong workflow?

di ko pa kase na-try ang maya eh, pero gusto ko rin talagang matuto ng character modeling matagal na....kaya envy mode ako dito sa thread nato and I'll be watching your progress dude..sana makagawa ka ng short animaion nito na parang LOTR ang dating....

Truely a God Given talent....Bow.... talaga... i'm a newbie in max modeling with the help of Master Arkiedmund it kinda hard at first but it difinitely a fulfiling one and i'm excited having seen your works its really an inspiration....thanks for sharing...looking forward to your future models...
