Making a 3d model for my demoreel.
Here's the concept art.
Henco, a human who was imprisoned and supposed to be transformed in to a Human Hunter, but was able to escape. When he was in prison, a mask was put on his face to impair his vision and which he could not remove since it is engraved to his head to the point that the nails is hammered through his skull. He had a hard time surviving during his escape since he's blind, but a dying elf merged with him which gave him strength and powerful senses. He used his newly found gifts to survive and was able to meet a knight retired Hermit who trained him to use weapons. Now, he is in a journey to destroy the very entities that captures humans and turn them into savage monsters that hunt their own kind.

just an update, changed the size of his body, shortening the lower body a bit and attaching his weapon. Test render using Mix20 Material to fuse blinn and an occlusion shader.

Finished the UV mapping part. Here are the screenshots of what I did.

As you can see there is no point posting these images as they have no great significance in the progress. However, I just want to share that UV mapping a little bit complicated character and huge number of objects can be done in just a few hours. I completed mine in a mere of six hours with very little pain in the head and as you can see with great quality and accuracy ( in terms of distance and size ) which unlike the method i used before would take me more than a day or two (using stitching and cutting in Maya). I used Head us UV layout for the UV mapping and I really really recommend this software and in a few hours it can be learned very easily. Have a good day guys. Thanks

bangis nyan tol ah, anong ginamit mo pang UV? hirap kasi ko sa pag unwrap na maayos eh. tska nde ka ba mahirapan i-pose yan sa dami ng polygons? post ka rin ng WIP ng rigging mo ah!

@reyknow: Thanks man, Head us UV layout ginamit ko. check mo to bro. sasaya ka pagnatutunan mo. laki bawas hirap at sakit ulot at madali lang matutunan. Bale hindi ko pa sya napopose. Tpose pa rin. pagnaka skin hindi na mahirap maipose yan.

finished the blade of the sheath. I'll do a model bust to sculpt in zbrush so I have to model the foot holder first. I'm not really a good digital sculptor from scratch so I tend to model a model first in Maya and do the details and texture in zbrush.

I'm going to make a bust for my character. Although it really isn't part of my process and I should really be doing the texture now but I just wanted use this opportunity to make one using this modeled character in maya since I can't make a bust in Zbrush from scratch( for now ). Here's the Bust:

kinda busy this week so I can't do very much. I made a little bit more wear and tear to indicate his battle experiences. I think I need to put more scars on his body to reciprocate the damages to his gears. Comments are welcome
