Siem Reap Journal
First topic message reminder :
1- There are plenty of Angkor Wat photographs taken on a sunrise/sunset at the front gate. Our approach was based on Architect Mun Summ's (WOHA) suggestion to shoot it from the east side. The pinnacles appearing here like 'golden' as it was the first to catch the sunlight while the podium is being deprived by huge raintrees set back at about 20metres from the wall.

Re: Siem Reap Journal
23- '10-limbed Buddha.' one would wonder how a Hindu temple, built as a dedication to Vishnu houses thousands of Buddhas? some even associate the 'asparas' to Buddhism when in fact they are not. when King Jayavarman VII (a Mahayana Buddhist) succeeded to lead the Khmer Empire he built the Bayon and converted Angkor Wat as a temple for Buddhism.

thanks Jeff! i'd be glad to share till the last pic here. kaso baka magsawa kayo hehe! hopefully not
most of these have post processing involved but very optimal--colours, curves, levels only. haven't done 'dodge and burn' or cloning as these are the least i would do to improve my images (reason is i don't have much time to spare for pp). its acceptable at times na the way you see it looks dull but your camera enables you to capture in floating point (raw) that enables you to bring out the colours or highlights your own taste requires (but only up to certain extent). i guess that also answers your question as cameras nowadays can capture as seen and more. note that our eyes are more complex than the camera so what you have seen might not have been captured correctly. for me these adjustments are part of visual composition and storytelling.

Re: Siem Reap Journal
Hehehehe.Ok nga sir glen, ako for sure di ako magsasawa.hehehe. Oo nga sir, kaya nga im trying to look for good photos as much as possible.Pinag aaralan ko kung pano nila kinunan at kung bakit nila kinunan. I realized na hindi pla talaga sa camera lang for you to have a very good photo.Last night we are in Marina with some pro photographers and I observed kung pano sila mamili ng site, angle, and subject to shoot and secondary na lng talga yung exposure or setup ng camera.
Thanks sir Glen for sharing.Cge lng po keep posting.hehehehe.Ill be watching..
About post pro still relying on LR presets then konting exposure adjustment. Minsan disappointed lng ako sa mga kuha kse hindi ko makita sa LCD ng cam ko yung details compared kung na transfer ko na sya sa PC.Iba ibang talga. Some shakes appears pag nasa monitor na.haaaaay.hehehehehehehe.

24- 'snacktime!' we shoot bugs in SG. in Cambodia, they eat 'em. (the black ones on the left are roaches). at night they use torchlight to attract the critters (from trees), very fine mesh awaits to catch them from below.
