1. i could see the maximum material slots in the material editor is 24 (6x4) i need more, what shall i do?

2. can camera view can be saved, just like SU they are save on the scene.

While the material editor defaults to a max of 24 slots, it doesn't mean that the the materials are lost or you can no longer add materials. You can simply click one used slot and make another material. If you want to see all materials used in the scene, go to the Material Map browser, browse from scene, and all the materials used will be displayed.


2. can camera view can be saved, just like SU they are save on the scene.

As long as you have a camera object and the file is saved, the camera view remains intact.

1. i could see the maximum material slots in the material editor is 24 (6x4) i need more, what shall i do?
- sir punta kayo utiliities in sa taas ng mga material slots, tpos reset material kayo lahat mawawala, then kung gusto nyong balikan yung previous material nyo punta kayo sa "get material"na icon located sa baba lang nga mga material slots. tpos pick scene from "browse from dun sir makikita nyo lahat ulit ng ginawa nyong materials.

- yes sir, to create camera control+C automatic created yung camera nyo then kung gusto nyo gumawa ulit press p for perspective view makakalabas kayo from the camera you've created. then kung gusto nyo bumalik sa mga camera na ginawa nyo just press c may lalabas na window which will ask you kung anung camera kayo babalik..

Another thing, you can use "Multi Sub-Object" and assign each object or poly a "Material ID"

Tama po silang lahat....Additional lang po Sir Nomer kapag naka default na po ang material pwede rin yung payo nila na sa Get Material -Scene makikita mo lahat ang Material mo OR kung gusto mo isa isa mo lang makita sa Material Editor may
Eye dropper diyan na Icon/Pick material from object click mo lang yun sa object tapos
magagaya mo na whatever Map it is...

add lng dn cguro kung modeled in SU..

sa SU na rn mgaplly ng materials at mgadjust then, after import sa max, use eyedroper nlng sa model para lumabas lahat ng matrial from SU then just find the location of bitmap and just adjust settings nlng(like reflect, displace..if needed).

sa camera, tulad sa SU like Scene 1,2,3..., gumawa lng ng camera, then another camera and so on... press C lng and select..

salamat po tulong nyo.. pero meron pa akong tanong related parin dyan sa sagot mo... kung meron akong isang scene tapos ubos na ang material slot ko then i reset the slots tapos gawa ako ng bagong materials... dba ma wawala ang ibang materials pag ka ni rnerender mona!!!???????

In be half of Sir Fortyone pasensiya na po sana masagot ko ang katanungan mo...hindi po siya mawawala sir dont worry pero kapag ang object mo may material na magtatanong naman yan kung gusto mo i replace or rename mo ang material.... hope makatulong

thanks sa pasagot po sir austria, once na reset mo yung lahat ng ginawa mong existing sa model mo hindi actually mabubura yn. sa material slot lang nawala but then you can go back sa "get material" then look for the "browse scene" dun makikita mo lahat ng existing na materials mo, you can drop that again sa material slot mo ulit.....even kung mag bukas ka ng bagong file at wala yung materials sa materials slot balik ka lang sa get material makikita mo lahat ng existing sa model mo.

and kung di ka sure talaga, yung can use dropper sa mga model mo para makuha yung materials papuntang material slot...... thumbsup

first of all maraming salamat sa inyong mga answers. thery are very useful.. akala ko kasi mawawala yung mga materials andun pala sila.. thanks alot.

duon sa camera.. i see all you have to do is to create nalang another camera. at wag ng galawin ang gusto mo ng view. sa SU kasi isa lang yung camera nya at nakakagawa ka ng scene.

i always appreciate this site pagdating sa mga tanong. ang bilis ng sagot hehehe.. thanks uli sa uulitin..ang tagal kung browse ng browse sa help at googling hinid mo makita. dito ang bilis.

as chills tut for me from su to max sir nomer...ganito daw po...apply materials in su then export as by materials...make sure na nakareverseface lahat ng object....then dapat nasa isang folder ang mga materials pagexport natin sir...then pagdating sa max
Customize>configure user path>external files>add yun dun mu add yung folder ng materials mo
then import mo na ang 3ds files sir...

then use ang eyedropper tool para makita ang materials...then hit mo nalang ang show materials in viewport para pakita rin ang tilings....sa camera naman po ganun na nga sir make new camera then click mo camera sa viewport then right click then set view to selected camera...cocopy mo nlang po sya kung maraming scenes...sana makatulong kahit unti...

minsan dumudilim ang scene natin kakaikot...use ctrl+L para maging normal sya...

halos ganito rin ang approach pero iba lang sa mga curves na weld ang ginagamit ko. la namang talagang problema sa pag export bro. yun lang talagang material slots kasi more than 24 yung materials ko. pero as above sabi nga ni roy hindi naman nawawala kahit magreset ka..so tama talaga. yung camera naman. dapat palaga magcreate ka ng ibang camera at wag mo nang galawin yun. no wonder sa SU kapag ng export tayo ng may scene atutomatic na magaapear ang mga number ng camera.. so hinid ko lang nagets yun. kasi ang ginagamit ko ay yung sa animation. kahit kasi nagsave ako ng frame ginalaw ko camera, galaw lahat yun mg view ko.. i think its really yung nakasanayan sa SU against sa MAx..
