NIKON D5000 OR NIKON D90?

mga cgpinoy master..balak ko kc bumili camera inisip ko kc kung anu mas maganda gamitin D5000 or D90 patulong nmn po? thanks!!

so is this now a toss up between the D80 and the D90?

Really depends. If you'll grab a 2nd hand D80 for less than S$800 go for it. I've seen folks selling their D200's for about S$1k, and that is a much better camera than D80. Otherwise if you've got S$1500 go for the D90. Being a D90 owner I really have little use for the video and for what I paid I see it just as a bonus. It's the great pictures that made me upgrade to the D90.

should be enough ariel - but the 18-55 will look "small" compared to the nikon D90 body. bagay jan ang 50mm or the 18-200 (which is quite expensive).

kiets - ok ang 18-200 for travel, meron ka nang wide angle tapos me pang zoom na rin. very versatile. di mo na kelangan magpalit ng lenses.

dunno kung me manual only na 18-200 ang nikkor - sa sigma meron ata.

ic... meaning hindi ko na kelangan bumili pa ng 24mm kung sakali? buying 18-200mm is better than buying 18-300mm from tamron? how about 70-300mm manual focus nikkor? these are the three "all-in-one lens" kasi na pinagpipilian ko... can you give more advise bro?

ayos ah.. parang nikon expert tuloy ako hehe:D

marami factors sa pagpili ng lens. isa na ung range ng focal length, saka kung ano ang fstop, and kung me VR (or any image stabilization term).

personally, i avoid the tamron kasi mejo plasticy siya, dunno bout the optics though. mukhang ayos din naman.

24mm, i think mataas fstop niyan - 2.8 ata? that means mabilis and pwede for low light. un nga lang, iisa lang ang focal length. for landscape consider mo na lang ung mga wide angles (12-24 ng nikkor or 11-16 ng tokina)

70-300mm for long zooms id go for one with VR. sa far zoom kasi konting nginig blur na agad. so either mgtripod ka or mag VR - ung bagong 70-300mm maganda ang reviews.(and actually ang 70-300 di siya all in one.)

ang all in one na maadvise ko sa yo is 18-200 VR ng nikon or ang 18-200 ng sigma na me OS (optical stabilization).

Hi Mushroom, merong package dito na dual lens kit eh(D90 18-55vr/55-200vr). Muntik na kong mapabili kanina sa isang store kaso sabi nung kakilala ko eh dun na lang sa binilhan nya, baka tomorrow pumunta ko...

ok yan, maganda ang 18-55 and 55-200 - VR na mura pa. maganda optics niyan. then if u have S$180 to spare.. get the 50mm f/1.8 - fantastic lens for portraits and low light.

sayang tlga - if only the D40 got AF, i wouldn't upgrade anymore. it's always better to invest in lenses rather than the camera body.

i always buy my lenses sa lords cameras (lucky plaza) kasi extensive ang lens nila saka mahusay mag recommend si suking raymond (the singaporean guy w the glasses). di ka pa niya i o oversell at di nagagalit kahit tanong ka ng tanong (unlike the other shopowners in lp na ubod ng sungit).

ok din sa alan photo mabait din ung nagbebenta (naka glasses din). sa funan ung shop.

get na ur DSLR and enjoy

regardng nikon dslr... id rather focus on choosing by its photo qualities rather than its video capabilities...

Haha mushroom, very coincidental naman yang mga nabanggit mong shop. Kasi tumingin ako sa ALan photo(funan) kahapon, ok na sana kaso walang libreng tripod, so nag punta ko ng catahy store sa marina sqr, wala rin libreng tripod. Ni text ko kakilala ko then ni recommend nya ang Lords camera sa LP. NAgpunta ko kanina and finaly bought the D90 dual lens kit package with 8gb mem, bag and tripod.. si David ang nag asikaso sa kin. Marami rin palang pinoy na bumibili dun, hindi sila tuso( I guess)..Thanks guys sa mga advice.
Now what i need to do is practice shooting, I'm still charging the battery though..hehe..

Nga pala, ilang oras ba initial charging? sabi ni David mga 8 hrs eh, excited na ko mag shoot eh hehe..

oo meron NOT SO FREE lesson ang Nikon.. tuturuan kayo gumamit TECHNICALLY .. para alam mo ang settings. at basic photography set ups... sa tapat ng Sunshine Plaza un sa Bencoolen.. near NAFA

Canon 5D!...hehehe kidding, i'm a canon user kase....kaya recomended ko canon...hehe

but..between the two i'll go for D90 bro! ito gamit ng some of my friends! and i love the output of the photos! very warm and well saturated!
