RENDERING PROCEDURE 101 Perspe43

TO: all gurus, experts, masters and the rest of the people
I LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IS YOUR OR THE BASIC (PWEDE RIN ADVANCE PARA SA MGA EXPERT) "PROCEDURE" OR "METHOD" NG PAG CREATE NG RENDERED WORK.

Here Is my sample method for the attached image ive done above.
1.Sketchup (pag model, add building materials including grass, pavments and some trees, sky and shadows.
2.V-RAY in Sketchup (I just hit Render button with the default setting, hndi ko kc alam alin aadjust ko)
3.PHOTOSHOP (additional grass, trees, lense flair, background scenes and sometimes skies)

main question:
Anu ba ang normally ina-adjust or nilalagay sa following:
1.Sketchup or other rendering software?
2.V-Ray in Sketchup or other rendering software?
3.Photoshop?

other question:
4.Ung tweak sa photoshop bay un?
5.Anu ba yung bitmap or map? panu ba nagwowork yun?
6.VRAY plugin of 3d max ba ginagamit nyo to acheive good renders? hndi ba kaya ng v-ray plug in ng sketchup?

I hope a lot of people would benefit in this threads

Process 1:
1. prepare bldg outline in cad. clean, take away all dimensions ang block, leaving just walls, doors and windows.
2. import to max, layout walls using boxes or extruded splines.
3. create boxes for windows and door openings, position them in the right place. attached all together.
4. select walls and use boolean compound by subtracting the previosly created boxes
5. add texture and light up the scene, add sky background, test render. (This is the best time to test render since the scene is still light to render.)
6. populate the scene by merging pre-modeled objects like cars trees and furniture.
7. more test render in very low setting and resolution. final render.
8. enhance colors, brightnes contrast in photoshop. done!

with this setup, you'll get really good results and very realistic feel on your scene. It will also be easy to set up more cameras and less post processing(photoshop work).

Process 2: (mostly for exteriors, quick and easy)
same 1-4
5. add cars and grass, no trees and sky.
6. render, usually the fastest to render due to less polycount.
7. save as .png of .tif with alpha, so as not to include the sky in the output image.
8. open and photoshop, add 2d trees and sky background, add people. done!

with this process, you can produce several 3d images in a day. best for instant presentation and rush projects.

Process 3:
1. do all the modeling of the modeling in skethup
2. import to max then clean up.
then continue with process 1 or 2.

with this process, modeling is precise and fast.

ito naman ang mga process na gusto kong iexplore. specially sa texturing.
1. unwrap map - http://www.republicofcode.com/tutorials/3ds/texture_stealth/
2. texture baking - http://www.3dtotal.com/team/Tutorials_3/texture_baking/texture_baking.asp

Good luck and happy rendering! Smile
