Creating Cornice with Bevel Profile Modifier

Hi guys, I've prepared a very simple tutorial on how to create cornices for our interiors and exteriors. The process can also be used in creating picture frames, door and window jambs and other elements that use moldings. This is more powerful than your simple extrude modifier. We will be using the bevel profile modifier. Hope you like it.



Before we start. And since we are dealing with profiles, here are some sites that are good references of cornice profiles courtesy of www.google.com:

Good thing about this is that when you edit your cornice profile, the whole thing follows. So you don't have to worry if you miss some details on your cornice. Good luck!

apparently, you've got two points unwelded. so here, ye.

- highlight and delete the bevel profile modifier first
- then snap the two unconnected points of those separate paths
- then combine the 2 paths into one by attaching them together [counterclockwise]
meaning select the one on your left and then attach the one on the right, otherwise
by the time you apply the mod, mag a-about face siya at towards the interior na ang design
- lower the weld threshold to 0.01 mm [if you're using mm] then weld those points together
- apply the bevel profile modifier again

sir bokkins ask ko po kung pwede ko malaman yun settings nyo ng vray and lightings para dyan sa ni-render nyong tree na may bench, hindi ko po kasi makuha yung ganyang klaseng render . salamat

sa bevel ngayon na enlighten na ako dati ginagamit ko yun loft grabe hindi sumusunod sa gusto ko ngayon okay na sir salamat at naalala ko na rin tong bevel mod.
