or another way, after AEC wall was created... (instead of the selection way)
convert the wall to polys and select all the top inside edges of the wall
then create shape from selection, give a curve name and choose linear..
you now have a copy as a line, make sure that its still selected and
apply the sweep modifier that finishes the job...

or a simple rectangle and a line... with bevel profile modifier will do the trick
and but should be a instance copied
