W/c is best, Windows XP 64bit SP2 or Windows Vista 64bit?

First topic message reminder :

w/c is best? naiinis na kase ako sa vista at parang gusto kong mag downgrade... please enlighten me guys.. thanks in advance

Galing ako Vista 64 halos 1 year ko din sya gamit. Napansin ko lang madalas magcrash ung max pag dumadami na vrayproxy ng evermotion trees.. akala ko normal lang yun kasi 3d max pinaguusapan e hehe. Nagtrip ako mag xp 32 ulit last month at ngayon ang gaan na magdagdag ng proxies... wala na ako oras itest ung difference ng max/vray sa 64 at 32bit systems and dahil mas convenient sakin sa ngayon stick to xp muna ako. Gusto ko din try ung xp64 pag may oras.

Sa security naman, nasa user na yun. Wag ka lang magopen ng attachments basta-basta at bumisita sa kung anu-anong site malabo ka na magkaron ng virus. At syempre always install security updates, saka oks din disable ung autoplay lalo na pag madalas gumamit ng thumb drives... at wag na wag nyo gamitin ung AVG free, may avast at antivir pakiusap lang

xp 64 sir, ayus na ayus.. kauupgrade ko lng from x32 and ang bilis nya.. magagamit ko pa ung 4G mem ko na nasasayang sa x32..

xp 64 bit .. kaso sp 1 lang yung akin.. mga utol paturo naman mag update to sp 2.. ok lang po ba? thanks in advance

for me Vista 64 kung alam nyo lng ang secrets ng vista ma shift din kayo memory wise maraming addons sa vista na pwede nyong gamitin like mga SD Card nyo pwede nyong gawin READY BOOST hehehehe... try nyo lng mga master at d kayo mag sisi .. DISABLE nyo lng ang UAC ng vista good to go nakayo!

please elaborate more sir sa UAC ba un? pano po ba un? TIA

on Run... MSCONFIG, then find and disable UAP.. reboot

or in user account settings under control panel, change the security settings by "unchecking the UAC", reboot

voila! no more administrative rights, no more double install

problema ko hirap lang ako maghanap nang webcam na pang 64bit,meron ba d2 nun sa dubai???di tuloy ako makapag chat sa mga anak ko,

sir hanapin nyo driver nyo sa http://www.start64.com/ lahat ng kailangan mo regarding x64 drivers andyan .. hope naka help... check out nyo vista ultimate x64 d kayo magsisi .. hope ma test nyo rin ..

+10 sa vista ultimate x64 no hassle at all, basta prepared na lahat ng drivers mo for 64bit OS walang magiging problema... about software and plugins naman napakarami ng x64 compatible now kaya no worries... almost a year na rin sa akin ang VUx64 so far so good.

like anong issue sir? vista user kasi ako, so far wala pa naman akong program na ininstall na hindi gumana ng maayos. yung ibang mga nagkaka problema sa compatibility issue nag iinstall lang sila ng VMWare.

i just shifted to vista 64bit+sp2 from xp 64bit and so far wala ako na encounter na problem regarding installation and bugs... contrary to what others say it runs smoothly with these softwares >>> 3ds max9+3ds max 2009+3ds max 2010(all w/ working vrays except 3ds 2010)+ auto cad 2009....

Enable or Disable UAP/UAC:

1. Click Start
2. Click Control Panel
3. Select System and Maintenance
4. Click Administrative Tools
5. Double-click System Configuration
6. Click Continue (if prompted)
7. Select the Tools tab in the System Configuration window
8. Here you can choose Disable UAP or Enable UAP from the bottom of the listbox
9. Click Launch
10. Reboot to see effect

using vista for almost 2 years, havent encounter a problem even using bootleg software... waiting to try out Seven rc which making positive vibes from experience users.

Good Day sa mga ka sa CGP share ko lang din experience regarding which is reliable XP or Vista Pareho naman sila ok pero kung ang working station is more on Multi Media mostly sa mga kagayan natin 3d Renderers is much better to use 64bit either xp or vista kasi it will expand the memmory capacity specialy when you putting dynamic memmory sa vray! Para ma prevent break out ng Max while rendering specialy when 3D models riches 1 million polygons and vertices or more. Regarding naman sa mga user Max 2009 just update the service pack 1 and hot fix from Autodesk this will fix draging error from the max view port. Currently I'm using Vista ultimate 64bit kapag nasa ibang bansa ka naman can afford naman yung mag purchase ng original na OS for me its much better to use the 64 bit believe me it will stable system work flow but of course it depend sa user may be some of us like to put all the software evendoe not necessary needed! So yung lang po Good day mga Sir!

ok bro thanks, maybe stick muna ako sa 32 bit na 3dsmax2009,mabilis din ba siya unlike wen im still using xp?

imho wala kang gaanong mararamdamang performance with regards to speed kung OS lang ang e-upgrade mo at hindi mga hardware components ng pc mo bro... different OS will just give you new interface, tools and securities... let's wait for tech experts on this one bro...

ah ok thanks bro sa idea,mas ok pala if yung software mo is 64-bit para ma enjoy mo yung speed.cge wait natin yung ibang experts mahina kasi me about sa upgrading ng mga software. system restore and reformat lang alam ko.
