Re: W/c is best, Windows XP 64bit SP2 or Windows Vista 64bit?

"W/c is best, Windows XP 64bit SP2 or Windows Vista 64bit?"
i think for vista users! we just have to change the "compatibility mode for windows xp" sa properties ng program!

bro ang 3dsmax version 9 ay talagang hindi compatible sa vista during sp1 days kaya naglabas ang autodesk ng SP2 to make it compatible. simply patch your max9. here is the link http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=9593622&linkID=9241177
about vray medyo hindi ko magets kung bakit hindi gumagana sayo... gumagana kasi ung sa akin kelangan lang nakadisable ung for max2008 just in case you have max2008 din in your system. better max9 and max2009 magkaiba kasi sila ng vray installation kaya hindi nalilito ung vrayserver hope makatulong bro

Re: W/c is best, Windows XP 64bit SP2 or Windows Vista 64bit?
I'm using vista 64, no problemo.. compatibility on drivers is just an old mythos, the only problem i encounter is the memory usage when using its eyecandy.. vista is more secure than xp..
ever try installing using Vista without the memory hog perks.. try Vlite
http://www.vlite.net/
read very informative thread from tipidpc Vlite Guide http://www.tipidpc.com/viewtopic.php?tid=84850&page=1
Pros:
- installer fits into 1CD
- very fast installation time (10-12mins on my system)
- less than 5gb hard disk space used
- very fast boot-time (<30 secs)
- very fast shut down (<10 secs)
- comparable to xp in terms of memory resources used by os
- xp-like responsiveness in windows and in-game (Warcraft III & Doom III, yet to test some more games)
Cons: (depends on your settings)
- none, because you only choose which to keep and which to remove..
last, compatibility on crack software is another thing duh...

Re: W/c is best, Windows XP 64bit SP2 or Windows Vista 64bit?
i tried fixing my friends vista laptop and sa totoo lang nakakafrustrate cya lalo na ung mga popups (administrators etc).. i know it looks secure pero for a regular user nakakairita siya.. my friend is no geek and shes been using it for a year na, kaya i can imagine ung hassle on her part sa pagttrabaho...
and vista advantages??

Re: W/c is best, Windows XP 64bit SP2 or Windows Vista 64bit?
