Good day CGP,
My friend wanted to buy a laptop so he ask me if anong laptop brand and specs yung maganda for rendering and modeling.
Honestly hindi rin ako marunong sa mga ganitong bagay ang alam ko lamang ay basta mas malaki yung ram mas ok. hahaha!
here is the image that he email me. Hindi ko po alam kung ok na to, tingin niyo guys ok na to? any suggestion would be much appreciated po.
nasa 35k - 40k po yung budget niya.

sir kung may konting budget pa siya dagdagan na niya... sa best buy niya bibilhin yan diba? (nasa tag nung attached images)
dami kasi pagpipilian sa best buy..
ang sa akin kasi sir laptop din... ASUS A42J, i7 1.7ghz lang, 8 gig ram(upgraded), 2 gig video ram, 640 gb HD, win7 premium... $1000 bucks ko sir nabili... kaso di ko magawa ang gusto kong output, mabagal magrender/magmodel sa Max/Lumion... kaya ko lang pwersahin sa Sketchup Pro + Vray 1.6... ang dapat siguro ay mataas yung processor speed ko... 2.4 or higher ang piliin niya...
Ayos siya sa gaming kaso matanda na tayo, kailangan productive na ang options... kung ako sa kanya i'll go for the Asus ROG.. yung ang target ko next time.... walking desktop ata yun!!!

it depends on the user/buyer why he chooses laptop against desktop. The usual reason is its mobility and space saving. Maybe the user is frequently going in and out of the country or often moving from one place to another.
When is was in Manila, I already built two (2) rendering machines/gaming machines, which serves me very well in terms of doing 3D as well as hardcore gaming. But those machines and monitors are heavy and need some space. It also need some time to arrange and hide those wires/cables in and out of the CPU going behind the table.
But now I'm here in SG, I bought this Asus ROG G73SW gaming laptop two (2) years ago. I prefer this high-end laptop because its light weight, space saving and tinatamad na akong magbuo ng CPU
Since I only renting a space here and no permanent location to stay, I prefer a tough, small and light weight rendering machine. I just put it on any small table, plug it then render. It really serves me very well until now when it comes to 3D, harcore gaming, space saving and mobility.
Minsan dala ko laptop ko para dumayo ng LAN gaming, or makipag meet to share knowledge with other 3D Artist.

Yes it is man! Just make sure its fully upgraded. 16GB ram onwards and use SSD.

Sir hanap pa po ng ibang brand na may mas malakas na processor, kasi sa pagkakaalam ko po jan sa i7-4500U base jan sa specs na nasa picture e dual core lang po iyan. Basta po yung number designation na may U at M sa huli ang alam ko po e dual core yan kahit pa po i7. Tama po ba mga masters? pakicorrect na lang po ako kung mali po yung opinion ko, salamat

Good day Sir, try nyo yung may mga number designation na QM or yung numbers lang last year nabilhan ko yung kapatid ko ng laptop PC nya worth 36k lng sa may SM mega. ASUS din pero i7-3610QM, 8gb ram, 2gb NVIDIA vcard, 1tb HDD. thanks man. Mura lang ROG Asus laptop dito sa Singapore. Nasa 60k pinakamura kong nakita.
yes meron pero medyo pricey jan sa pinas ang ROG Asus laptop.
