sony or nikon?
Balak ko bumili ng camera...hindi ko lam kung ano ang maganda para sa isang newbie na photographer...sana un practical...
naglalaban sa isip ko ang nikon or sony. I've been sony fan sa lahat ng electronics and never failed me. Nikon never ako nagkaroon.

mostly kasi nakikita NIkon eh.
like sir bokkins if im not mistaken Nikon yung camera niya.

as u said sony for electronics,..test a few entry cameras from canon and nikon and decide what fits ur budget and needs

i think canon user si ser bokkins.... anyway as ser glenskys said... test a few entry cameras ser then decide... sabi nga nila kahit ano man camera mo nasa user parin yan kung pano mo icocompose ang isang photo to stand out.... although malaking tulong ang ibang features nang mga mamahaling cams..... ...

nikon! or canon kac madaling ibenta pg sawa kna hahah! nwei nikon ka or canon kac tried and tested na..but for me i prefer nikon mas vibrant ang kulay ng mga shots mo..but still it depends on the photographer not the camera...

Kahit ano bro. wala naman talaga sa camera yan like we always say here. kung ano kaya ng budget, kunin mo na. The sooner the better para shoot na kagad! both sony and nikon are good. Sony users sa forum sina Archithekthura, Nomer at Noel. Kita mo naman output nila, ang gaganda di ba? Kaya go na.

Yung C naman, nagpalit sila para lakihan ang opening ng mount at mas less ang distance ng mount to film plane. Dahil dyan, technically, may konting advantage ang C sa paggawa ng lens with maximum aperture at the same focal length.

Kaya kung mahaba ang pisi mo, C ka na lang.

always consider the prices of the accessories lalo na the lenses...=) yan kase ang mga kailangan ng camera mo...

i'm a canon user (canon 400D, hehe phase out na yan sa market), wala naman akong naging problema using 24mm-70mm f/2.8 Lseries and im happy with the output.

for me since i'm a canon user, highly recommended ko po yan sir but syempre it's your choice pa rin...good luck sir!

ang sensors ng nikon eh gawa rin ng sony. the only difference is they seem to tweak these sensors plus they rely on their superior nikkor optics.

on the other hand advantage ng sony is since they manufacture the sensors they always release a model with higher features compared to nikon.

Depende sa budget. Hehehe

ang sensors ng nikon eh gawa rin ng sony. the only difference is they seem to tweak these sensors plus they rely on their superior nikkor optics.

on the other hand advantage ng sony is since they manufacture the sensors they always release a model with higher features compared to nikon.

@ sir mushroom agree ako dito,,, not only nikon but also canon sensor came from sony manufacturer,,, d best talaga ang sony when it comes in technology so dey can fire up future alpha models,,, i also read some forum na may bagong model ang sony if im not mis taken Sony alpha 800 ila2bas yata sa august 2009 d specs is very different from all previous alpha models pero rumor lang ito,,, when it comes lenses we can also use alternative brand like minolta n tamron w/ low price,,, so di mahirap maghanap ng lenses ang sony,, n sa mga review di rin ito naiiwan laging pasok ito sa mga top 5 best dslr entry level,,, so sony is not a bad choice for entry level,,, but u can also try nikon d60 maganda rin mga feature nito ung kulang nga lang walang liveview,,, ung mga entry level ng sony like sony alpha300 n 350 may liveliew sila.... but for me wala sa brand ng camera nasa photographer pa rin... so tama si sir tutik kung ano ung kasya sa budget un ang piliin,,,

i think get the reviews for nikkon or canon..
sonny is a good camera, kaso yung mga pro lens nmn ang mamahal...
invest on the lens rather than the body of the camera, coz yung body will always have an update pero yung lens matagal maiwanan.

I think canon produced their own sensor sir noel, but the nikon's sensor are manufactured by sony..and in fact nikon d90, d3 and d3x put unknown manufacturer, maybe to protect their products..kaya madali lang maglabas ng high end na sensor ang sony kc they manufacture their own.. yun nga lang sa lens lang magkakatalo.. pero as u said pwede ka na man gumamit ng 3rd party lens.. like sigma, tamron and tokina..i hope it helps..

a newbie buys a camera...felt that his shots are no good so he went to buy a better camera...but still, the same kind of shots as before...he realized it's about the lenses, so he shopped for the best lenses, added filters, hotshoe flash, gels, sturdy tripod...the list goes on...he even compares his shots to others but still finds his shots inferior....

being able to distinguish good shots from not good ones already has a making of a good photographer. it boils down to how he executes the 'workflow' of creating good images.

therefore one thing holds true imho--"WALA SA CAMERA YAN NASA PHOTOGRAPHER"

so, are you a PHOTOGRAPHER or a CAMERAMAN?

d3 sensor and expeed are developed and manufactured by nikon,only d2x and d2xs used sony cmos sensor.

Aaah, Ford vs Chevy, PC vs Mac, Nikkon vs Canon hehehe...

Many people will give you different opinions and advices, and they have their good points.

In the end, ikaw pa rin ang da best person na mag decide which system is besst for you If it is within your budget, has the features YOU need, and you are comfortable with it, that's your camera

Tama ka sir Tutik --"WALA SA CAMERA YAN NASA PHOTOGRAPHER"...eto ang palaging kong nasa sa isip........kahit celphone camera lang gamit, pero nagawa ang tamang konsepto at kung paano mo na visualized ang photos mo eh yun na yun........kaya ako ay isang Tag-Pektur la-ang.......

Mga sir, just new in this forum site. Nayway, here are my two cents:

I am a canon user, and when it comes in buying a SLR camera, think always of what system you'll be using. Mahirap kasi if you bought your first SLR na canon, then somewhere in time you decided to bought a nikon cam, mahirap yun. You'll be spending a lot buying your same preferred set of lens on your previous sysem.

In regards with Sony, yes they are really an electronic giant, but, they are just entering the SLR line, and their lenses are not that fully tested by consumers (i mean in terms of longetivity and performance). Also, their resale value might not be that hogh because they are just new players in the SLR world.

So in the end, i may choose Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax, or other brands that has been in the SLR world for a very very long time.

Anyway, these are just my opinions. Thanks for reading!
