the ribbon house
hi guys,,, it's been a while since my last post,,,i kinda disappeared from the world of 3d for a quiet of time,,nevertheless i'm back again..And oh,,this would be my first post in this year, and also my 200th post,,kinda historic ehh..hhihi but anyway this is some kind of a personal project,,,both involving design and visualization...so i kinda like to discuss a bit of an overview to this project,,, and please forgive me if i talked too much... well the design was originally intended for a couple, in which they asked me to design a 2 storey house for them...too bad the project was canceled,,and i kinda have a sad feeling since i pour some efforts just to please them...to my disappointment, i looked at the project again and began to wonder if i could somehow revise my idea to a more daring concept, just to please myself..thus the concept of the ribbon house takes place. I imagine the house to be free from the use of artificial ventilation so most of the exterior walls are stripped and shred into deformed and curvilinear strips, much like a band of ribbons which wrap a certain space forming the shell. too good, the clients will hardly recognize their house anymore ...so here it is guys hope you'll like it...c&c's are always welcome...thanks...

Re: the ribbon house
Very nice and daring concept. Rendering is good. For presentation purposes, I prefer the lower front ground to have more better plants....I think it would look better, right now those shrubs are bothering me.
Cool design concept, I really like it. something out of the box.

Re: the ribbon house
very nice concept bro. sana pati ung balcony, ribbon mo na din. para buo ang concept mo. and even the walls sa 2nd floor, you could make it something like a wave concept. feasible na feasible kasi tong gawa mo. love the roof by the way. keep it up bro!

i won't comment much on the other aspects but i would like to highlight why i prefer this particular image, and that is the effective use of playing with shadows and lighting in the front road, it does makes a big difference as compared to the normal plain foreground approach.
one nitpick - you seem to have antialiasing issues especially with the roof. my guess is this occurred during post processing. if it is, make sure your masking is free from jagged lines.
great job dude.
