Architecture Thesis!

Good Morning po. 5th year Architecture Student po ako from Saint Louis University Baguio City. Until now wala pa po akong proposal sa thesis and I'm starting to panic na po. Ano po bng Building type na pwedeng ipropose for thesis? Yung competitive po sana and pwedeng magamit ng Baguio in the future.

I hope may mga suggestions po kayo. Maraming Salamat po.

Concept ko po sa Hotel is a Boutique Hotel located at Romulo Drive, Baguio City near Wright Park and The Mansion. The lot is about 5000 square meters po. Is the lot okay for a Boutique Hotel?

I suggest you prepare a checklist kung ano ang site requirements ng isang Boutique Hotel.

Thats more than enough. Usually 1200 lang ang footprint ng isang hotel. 2400 yan kung dalawang wing so half ng lot ang magagamit mo, which is an ideal situation. 50% coverage.

Usually maliliit lang ang boutique hotels. Madalas mga renovated buildings na nagchange ng use. Try to research on boutique hotels para hindi ka din malito. Good luck!

Good Afternoon po. Paano po pala ung computation para madetermine yung number of beds ng Hotel and saan po pwedeng makakuha ng data para sa traffic count po ng isang area?

always refer to national building code when it comes to planning and design, you can get data on traffic count of baguio in............your guess is as good as mine.

Naku, honestly ha, kung ako teacher mo, hindi kita ipapasa. Hindi ka pa ready mag-thesis.

That's the least you can do... "to think".

This section was opened para magkaron ng discussions. Intelligent discussions. Yun kasi ang kulang sa teaching, hindi nadidiscuss ang mga bagay bagay. Ang ginawa natin, nagreach-out tayo sa mga students to guide them. Aba, this is one form of abuse. Hindi naman pwede na kami magisip para sa inyo. We want to help you guys. But not this way. This is very sad.

Ano ba ang problema ng Baguio? [Baguio nga ba ang site mo? ] at paano mo ito bibigyan ng solusyon? Ano ang magiging benefits ng project mo - social and economic returns?

Sir, is it possible to have a "Green" boutique hotel which is an eco-friendly one but not really conforming to the LEED standards? 3-Star Economy Boutique Hotel po kasi yung idea ko because most of the hotels here in Baguio are 3-stars in rating.

Based from what I read, and as I understood it, either branded or independent po ang boutique hotel. The difference is, may sinusunod po na standards when it comes to branded hotels and as for the independents, they are provided with the freedom and the sense of uniqueness without the support of major affiliations.

But I'm thinking po of having it an Independent hotel.

Olrayt. Boutique is associated with the terms shopping, elite, fashionable, highly specialised and yes, unique. Well, dahil una pa lang itong gagawin mo, you will be creating your own brand which will later on expand at magkakaroon ng branches at magiging chain. Point is - branded ang boutique and in your case you are starting a new brand of boutique hotel.
