Thesis query

First topic message reminder :

Mga sir di pa po ako thesis pero gusto ko po sana maka-isip na po ako ng probable subject para makapagcollect na rin po ako ng data.

Kausap ko po kanina yung dean ko and yung thesis prof po namin. he asked me what kind of thesis I want to do. Sabi ko po Hospital o kaya po rennovation ng historical underground tunnel. Sabi po niya panget daw po ng subject ko dapat daw po tropical and katamtaman lang daw ang laki. Sabi ko po condo na lang. Sabi po niya walang challenge. I'm confused, paano po ba mamili ng subject of your choice?

Tama, pwede din to. Lalo na ngayon malaking problem nila sa makati. Yung pipeline na butas.

Pwede. Pero isang part lang yan. Obvious naman kasi na katamaran ang main reason nyan. Madali lang aralin ang katamaran. Focus more on kung papano mo sila mababago. Teach them how to fish ika nga.

this is one good topic to solve... another topic would be adoptive re-use of all the buidlings na mga luma na.. or yung mga dilapidated na mga structure and make something useful out of them.... one example is yung mga theaters sa RECTO na mga nabubulok na at pinamumugaran ng prostitution...

Ok na yata ang mga theaters sa recto bro. Ginawa ng malls. Yung iba naman naging stockroom ng mga stores sa baba. Mapapansin mo sa LRT.

Pero ok din yang adaptive resuse. Kaso dahil sa business side ng mga bagay bagay at sa walang batas or mahinanga batas on heritage architecture, madami ng mga natumba na parang wala lang. The first cry was the Jai-Alai Bldg. Yun ang isa sa pinakaremembrance on how good was architecture before.

Fact is mas mahal magrestore that create something new. Yan din ang naging problem ng Macau, pero meron silang matinong heritage advocates doon, kaya may mga nagsurvive na kahit facade man lang.

This is a good topic, making it work is the challenge.

Yung metropolitan theater dyan sa Lawton, malaki ang potential nyan. Pwedeng pwede pag-aralan yan.

Ang tagal na rin po nung metropolitan Theater. Lagi ko siya nakikita kapag dumadaan ako sa Lawton. I belive na nirestore na po to dati pero nauwi po sa abandonment. Sayang din naman ang Metropolitan Theater since historical din po siya. Though this will be somehow a difficult yet challenging topic. It would be nice kung magagawa po talaga sya. Kailangan po ata dito is intensive research

wow pati thesis pwede kang matulungan dito, nice. i'm also taking bs-architectur 5th year. patulong din kung my mga alam kayong mga site sir/mam. my thesis entitled "sustainable development and renovation of domestic airport" thanks mga master this would be a great help to me, thanks

If you are doing a thesis alone, come to think of it na kaya mo lalo na kung mag-isa ka lang. Marami ang di pumasa kasi dahil sa di nila nakayanan at the end. You have to consider the time constraints also, bear in mind the deadline and make sure that you will finish it on time. Nasa isip na nating mga Arki na kung kailan malapit na ang deadline saka mag rush to finish it, in which this makes your work chaotic causing to panic at bad result.

Green Architecture is on my mind for a topic, sure it's a hit!

ayun nga din po sir yung nasa isip ko... Time constraints... so since hindi pa po ako thesis ngayon... nag-iisip na po ako para po makakuha po ako ng mga resources regarding dun sa subject na gagawin ko and I'll try to focus on that subject more...

Well, Advice ko lang din as a fresh graduate of 2009-2010:
1. Dapat my Time Table ka
2. Always finish before or on time sa deadline.
3. Play with your form and function din sa planning
4. Huwag mong isipin ang hirap, isipin mo ang sarap ng magmamarch sa end of school year
5. be dedicated
6. be inspired
7. apply green architecture
8. don't be ashamed to ask questions sa iba, and share ka din ng alam mo para maganda ang samahan niyo
lastly-iwas FB during critical hours. hehehehehe

I suggest naman na Title mo is Virtuarium. Sa akin kasi noon "Planetarium with Astronomy Museum"..
