Re: SUNSET
tks James! i was expecting a more chaotic cloud formation pero medyo subtle ung dinatnan ko at nakatago pa si haring araw. ok naman siguro ang kinalabasan. mukhang ilang beses ko babalikan to (shoot natin ulit next week). tingin ko mas maganda ang foreground anchoring pag low-tide.

Re: SUNSET
tks Austria, wala naman masyadong post-processing ito kc pag nagshoot ka sa 'magical hour' that's as close as what you'd capture (bright hues). basic setting is to set to the sharpest possible aperture (f8-f22, take note of hyperfocal focusing) then compensate the shutter setting to meet the exposure requirement based on your TTL meter. in this case i metered on the brightest part of the cloud para hindi mag clip ung highlight details.

here are good instances of the need to use a graduated filter. notice the highlight clippings at and around the sun. if we were to step down the exposure to -1ev (via increase in shutterspeed or smaller aperture) to properly expose the sky, the foreground will be in total darkness. using a graduated filter (-1ev or -2ev steps) will automatically cut down the sky's exposure (with less highlight clipping as a result) while maintaining the foreground as is or with a fraction of step ups will make it brighter.
i like the drama captured by the way, tfs Corpsegrinder!
