Hello CGP peeps. Tagal ko nang hindi ngpo-post dito. I recently switched to max last feb and started doing hard surface stuffs. It's based from a concept by Nick Carver. The high poly is almost finished, may nakalimutan lang ako na i-model like the lights and the gas tank sa likod ng driver seat. I still have to do the low poly and textures pag may time. Anyway, here it is. It's just a simple scanline render and yep I intentionally rendered it with turbosmooth off(ang tagal mg-render pg nka-on). Post ko un render na naka-smooth later din.

@f-fortyone: Hehe musta sir? Oo tagal ko nga d nakapag-post eh, busy-busyhan sa school. Paano nga pala mag-optimize ng memory sa pag-render dito sa 3dsmax,? Iyon para sa scanline lang. Hindi ko kasi ito ma-render nang naka-on iyong turbosmooth nage-error. Umaabot kasi ng 9million polys overall. I have a 32-bit xp, 3gig of ram and a core2duo which is pretty decent naman kung scanline render lang diba? Kaya nagtataka ako bakit nage-error. Thanks.

Another high poly stuff. An fps-spec rifle based on a concept by Jim Svanberg. Have to low poly these and unwrap them so I could start texturing. Very Happy Again made in 3dsmax.

reyknow: Thanks dude. Nope sa 3ds max ko sya ginawa. Pero I started out with maya then, yun kasi gamit s school. Kaso I just found out na mas ok ang modeling sa max kesa maya especially pag hard surface.

weird,mas madaming time natitipid pag sa maya nagmodel,.madami kasi pasikot sikot sa max lalo na kung di ka gagamit ng customize shelf.sobrang natatamad ako magmodel sa max lalo na sa office. siguro nasanay ka lang magmodel ng low poly nung nakaraan.
pero kanya kanya naman yan,.

pressure: Thanks sir. Yep kanya kanya lang siguro yan pero as someone na na-try na gumamit using both apps eh mas ok talaga ang max sa maya pagdating sa modeling IMO. Nothing beats the modifier stack, so straight forward. And the modeling tools sa max madaling makita unlike sa maya where there are so many hidden commands and you still have to go through a lot. Plus maraming magandang modeling scripts sa max na madaling mahanap. Pero given the time and the right scripts sa maya, I think I can produce the same quality like ng gawa ko sa max within maya. Sabi nga nila eh, these apps are just tools. Nasa sayo pa din iyon. Nagkataon lang siguro na mas comfortable ako sa max. Very Happy Pero of course I'm not closing my doors to using maya again. thumbsup

I do remember you. And I do remember well.

Nice models bad thing is - cg stuff is not just about modeling, unwrapping, or texturing. It's about putting your foot forward, saying what you mean and meaning what you say.

I'd give you thumbs up for the modeling and the wraps - for just about it. Nothing else.
