Re: A Two Storey Residence (Added View)
nice one stryker, specially the first image.
My comments.
The gaps between the dark and the lights are so stiff. You need to preserve the illumination even in the dark areas. Remember that there isn't a black shadow in reality unless you are in total darkness. One thing I could suggest is to consider LWF in your next renders. But hey, its like opening up a new can of worms.
Simply put, the contrast is too high for the first image, try to eliminate the blacks in the shade by either using LWF or lowering the density of the shadow or adding more negative light to suck the darkness out.
As for the second image, it's unfortunately unnatural. Its like there's a big fire happening in front of the area. If you want a late afternoon look, it might help to use a blue ambience (environment) and a yellowish or orangish direct light.
Nice to see your work again.

Nice to see your work again.
What's the LWF?
I think you can easily adjust the dynamic range in PS especially if you are using Vrimg since it is in a higher bit of image.
In contrary to what Wrangler said about the stiffness of the B&W I think it is just a matter of preference. And also in photography, some of the areas will have to be compromised because you can't save all the details unless you use HDR or Photo blending which will result to again an unnatural look.
Ok now about the work. Rendering is great and the composition is conservative. You can improve the bump of your tile and the material in your road. The black car is.. yes, out of scale. Is your entry porch a bit narrow or it's just the angle of the view. Overall good job.
Cheers!

All comments have been made. The first image is nice. I couldn't say the same for the second.
