"Afternoon Delight" - Rendering Practice
Hi to all. I just want to share my latest practice in 3D. Most of the objects in the scene are 3D Objects scattered and distributed manually by 3rd party plugins and proxies. This workflow is new to me so please pardon if my setting is low. C&C are most welcome. Cheers to all!!!
PS. This is a rest house pla.

Re: "Afternoon Delight" - Rendering Practice
I love the grass on the DOF view. If I'm not mistaken, it's the Peter Guthrie technique. Good renders.
Keep posting.

Re: "Afternoon Delight" - Rendering Practice
Thanks for the comment guys. Yup I used the Peter Guthrie technique with a little modification on the material. Although my PC took 2hrs to render one scene. I used Itoo Forest Lite to distribute the grass and the trees. =)
For everybody's benefit here is the link to the tutorial:

Re: "Afternoon Delight" - Rendering Practice
Thanx sa comments. Hehe... Ung grass I made it myself ung maps nun download ko sa tutorial ni Peter and changed it a bit to save render time. PC specs ko is Quad Core, 32 bit WinXP and 4gb of RAM. That's all nothing like a big rig.
I distributed the grass using Free Itoo Forest Lite. Here is the process that I made to scatter the grass. I'll make a tutorial soon (sana).
1. I made 5 grass strands, put the multi sub mat on each.
2. I distributed the 5 grass in a circular plane with a diameter of 200-300mm using 3ds max built in Scatter modifier. Btw, mix all the 5 grass types that you made in the plane.
3. Convert the scattered grass (5 scattered sets on one plane) to mesh and attach them altogether to have only one object.
4. Distribute it using Itoo Forest Pack. (No need to convert the grass object to VrayProxy pla kasi Itoo will make its own proxy for the grass).
5. Use Itoo Forest Camera Limits to save render time and memory.
I think that's it. By the way you can also use Advance Painter Script in step 2 instead of the built in scatter modifier. Anu pa ba?
Cool! Try it guys. My render time is about 2hrs for both plus I rendered the light maps in half the size of the image.
Cheers!

Re: "Afternoon Delight" - Rendering Practice
Sa roof issue pla. I planned to use the Batzal Roof Designer but I had a hard time using it. La ko mahanap na ok na tutorial except for the voiceless video. (HELP!) Kaya un, di ko na masyado naayos ung roof tiling.

Hehe... Thank man. My first concept was like an escape from an urban city. It is something to do with getting away with something. Itoo Forest Lite claims that it is RAM friendly since it automatically converts the objects to proxies when ditributed so there is no need to convert it to vrayproxy when distributing it. My PC spec is Intel Quad Core, 4GB RAM, 32bit WinXP. Cheers!
