Re: "one lazy afternoon" - updated
Nice!
I don't want to sound grumpy and picky but then again it wouldn't be fun:
Since its an Old English setting, remove the guitar - it takes away the drama from the old antique phonograph. If you need to put a sting instrument - an antique looking violin or any of its bigger cousin will be perfect.
I'd probably prefer cookies or a slice of cake over some fruity English Tea on fine expensive looking china instead of fastfoody coffee plus croissant and doughnuts.
The books on the floor - I wished those where old analog records.
I'm not sure about the two similar lamps atop the fireplace. Too unnatural. As for the candelabra, it would have looked perfect atop a piano ala liberace but not infront of the painting..It's blocking the view!
You shouldn't use the same image for the carpet bumps, if you do - they'll look like embossed printed matter. If you cannot afford rendering fur, try to use an inversed falloff for that velvetty, clothlook.
The mapping on the side table where the phonograph lies looks distorted and stretched along some random triangles. I'm not sure if its the texture or my monitor but perhaps the uwv mappings a bit loose.
Without the title, I could have mistaken this for either a morning or afternoon, perhaps add something to make an indication of time, like a grandfather clock would have made it perfect.
Overall Lighting was perfect for me, though I would love seeing sharp afternoon shadows underneath objects.
