Hi guys, as promised, ito na ang random grass tutorial ko from my recent post na Balinese Duplexes. Ok let's start.
Creating Random Grass Grassy
Here are the materials I used. This is the very same resolution I used.
Grass Material
Creating Random Grass Basic009
Sand Material
Creating Random Grass AL02CourseSand
And here's the process. First, I used two(2) Planes for this technique. top plane is the grass material with opacity(cellular) and the bottom plane is my sand material, make sure there's only a little gap between the two as not to create so much shadow. you may use standard material or vray material if you are adding displacement to the grass.

This is the setting of the top layer with opacity
Creating Random Grass Grasstop
This is how it will look on an aerial view
Creating Random Grass 2layers
Finish! You may also use a different material on your bottom layer. eg. grass, mud, stones, etc. Hope you enjoyed my simple tutorial! Smile

medyo hindi bro, kasi ung top layer lang ang may vray displacement. but could still work if you are using or not using any vray displacement for both materials. Thanks bro. Smile

Creating Random Grass Empty newbie

hi guys, i am having a prob creating a golf course rendering from autocad...is there any other way of doing a rendered terrain from polylines in autocad surfaced with different types of grass based from a plan from autocad..my contours are already elevated,hope you guys can help me out..thanks and godbless...

solution ko dyan is cut your terrain to areas para pwede mo sila imap each terrain. also, try to post this sa help section para makita ng lahat at sa right section. good luck! Smile
