he controlled the render using his phone, he did not render using the iphone.

This is quite similar to remote access or VNC, controlking a remote deskstop using the internet.

The way vnc works or anything similar, is open a port in a host computer. This computer would have max or backburner installed. Vnc would then allow a remoter computer to take control, this remote compuer would then view the deskstop and have control of all inputs, keyboard and mouse.

So I could control mammoos' machine when I am in Japan remotely and I could click and start max or backburner and send the jobs to the network.

I've done this a couple of times to a coworker and he came to me whitefaced. He says his computer needs to be exorcised

sir para sa simpleng pag remote access ng pc.. pwede gamitin ang teamviewer..

i am controlling my computer sa pinas..... pero with instruction from me there. lalo na pag merun error dun tech help baga....

teamviewer is a nice free software po.. tnx mga sir and madam

mga masters, ask ko lang kung uubra ba for example, here in the office im using vista 32 bit business, then yung pc ko sa baha ay win xp 64bit? are they compatible (means of connection or viewing my pc)?

uubra yan sir mammoo, anyaway, your just using your browser to view ur remote desktop..

im also using www.LogMeIn.com nga pala, para pag may batch render, pwede na akong umuwi ng ma-aga.. hhehe..

you can check the rendered files and shut-down when its done, but u cannot turn on ur desktop of course, unless u will call remotely ur officemate to turn it on for u..
