Helo cgpeps, an tagal na walang post kaya eto pamparamdam lang, practice rendering parin..censya na low res lang nakayanan ang pc ko bigat kasi ung particle for pebbles, falling leaves and rain drops, censya narin sa falling leaves sa first image medyo nakatayo ung iba.. c&c are most welcome for improvemnt...gamit ko SU + 3dMax8 + vray + PS7

I won't be commenting on the rain except that I feel it would look even better without the droplets on the cam.
You can improve the look of wet materials by doing two things:
1. Making the wet areas dark be it concrete or wood. You can do it by using a top/down material or by using a mask map to combine a dark version of the surface material and the regular version.
2. Make the wet areas shiny or reflective of course minimize this for concrete except if it's polished.
As I always say, observation is the best teacher. Look around objects when they are submerged or sprayed with water.
As for the house, wet areas are usually the ones near the ground where water particles usually go on a bound. Intersections of the upper areas. Remember that water tend to creep and pulled by gravity.
Imagine.
