Good concept. He needs a little more work anatomy-wise. You need to decide whether he should be a fat character or a muscled character. Right now he's looking like he has abs on his pot-belly. Muscles on a fat character are only noticeable on his limbs. Get as much reference as you can on the type of body that you want.


Thanks for replying dude, appreciate it. But you see, it's a stylized character. So it could be a combination of a fat or a muscled guy or whatever you can possibly think of. About it's anatomy, I think it's pretty decent. I am not saying it's perfect, but i think it's forgivable. I just combined the anatomy of a fat and a muscled man, to obtain a stylized approach. Also, I am not aiming for something photo real, cause once you start doing something photo real, you have to perfect it so it won't look weird. If this would be used for something like film, I'll definitely make it something as photo real. Besides, the specs used here are specs of a videogame asset. Meaning, limited polycount (it's only around 7k tris) and limited texture space. So, it's hard to get the same form and details as much as the high poly mesh.

Hi mga tsong at tsang. Tinapos ko na po ung color map at pinasadahan ko na din un specular map. Ung seams nlng ang kelangan ayusin o cgro mga minor tweaks pa. Cgro mga 90% finished na sya. Ipo-pose ko dn sya, pg marunong na ko ng mag-rig. Sa ngyn, eto lng muna. Sna magustuhan nyo po lahat. Thank you!

It's a video tut about character modeling for games using 3dsmax and mudbox workflow, pero pwde nyu dn i-apply sa kht anong workflow, pareho lng nmn ang ideas and concept. Walang anuman dude.. Hehe.. Konti lng kc 3d character artists dito, especially for videogames.. So mas ok kng magsha-share tyo ng mga know-how's naten, pra dumami tyo. Ska isa pa, pra saken mas maggo-grow ang isang artist kng isha-share nya ung knowledge nya. Kesa ung iba jan na kala mo kng cno mgaling, magco-comment sa gawa mo tpos puro negative criticisms nmn ang ssbhn, imbes na positive or i-inspire ka..

Thank you sir! Sir try mo pmunta sa site ng pixologic or sa zbrushcentral for sure may free tutorial dun about..
Ska tiningnan mo ba un link n bngay ko na tutorial about character making sa mud and max? Nsa page 2 ata ng thread ko un. Kc po sir, parehong-pareho lng po tlga ng general concept and idea about sa sculpting. Iba lng ang twag sa brushes within zb or mudbox. Pero halos pareho cla ng gamit. Ska sir, try mo tong mga sites forum na to, dame free tutorials dito especially sa 3d for videogames. Tigain mo lng i-browse, for sure mdame ka mkkita.

kakainspire ka boy. havent tried zbrush. but with what you have shown ang gangdang motivation. i am enjoying this gallery so keep em coming.

so mas maganda pala yung zbrush max combo ha. im actually lookin on how to use zbrush sa sketchup. kung baga low poly export pero yung texture ay detailed. alam mo naman yung SU hindi pwedeng magsupport sa sang katerbang polygon. but the workflow na nasabi ko i think is ok naman.

sana sa susunod makagawa ka ng kaunting tutorial sa Zbrush para sa community.

Salamat dude. Actually, I'm using maya pero zbrush can be integrated with max, softimage, cinema 4d, etc. Kso d ko alam kng pano un sa sketch up, I haven't used that program pa eh. Does sketchup has support for normal map or displacement map? Kng yes I think madadala mo un high poly detail mo sa low poly by using normal or displacement..

Regarding sa tutorial, tingnan ko dude. D pa dn kc ako expert eh, ska mas mdame png pinoy na mgaling sa ganito pero nde member ng CGP. I'm not also good when it comes to talking (trashtalking pwde pa, hehe). Cgro the least thing I can do is share my workflow and knowledge about technicalities. Thank you ulet. Very Happy

sa sketchup pwedeng gamitin yung normal map as dispalcement pero sa rendere na yun.

sa tutorial alam mo hindi talaga sa pagalingan makukuha yan, i have seen a lot of magaling pero madamot... people always appreciate those guys with kind heart na willing magshare ng knowledge. maaring you think kakarampot lang pero ang impact nito lalo na sa mga baguhan ay matindi. mind you we are not sharing really to those who are magaling na hindi nia kailangan yun. but yung mga pausbong na palaging magiging appreciative yan..

so kahit na mapaworkflow, kaunting hints jan, tips..etc. is appreciated. thinks like kung paano mag sculpt ng symmetry. sa lahat madali yun. pero nung ako naku katakut takut na basa ng mga resources bago nakita hehehe.

we really want the zbrush section to gain momentum. i knew pressure had one and we love it, pero pang advance na hehehehe. so again, its nice if there are some tutorial to encourage, newbies...
