Shellac has a tendency to unnaturally extend the brightness of the layer. If you want to have it automatically clamped - vrayblend might be the answer. I could probably cook up a carpaint like I did in the past for the scanline, but if you google enough you'll find a lot of premade ones as well.

I just found my old concoction. It's circa max 5 pa yata. I don't remember anymore. This is purely scanline so improvise and convert at your own risk.

The secret to metallic paints is the separation of layers. There should be a speckle coating and above that the - actual gloss.

I used shellac kasi wala pang vrayblend during that time, we didnt have vray either.
