help masters! oil paint medium

hi masters

i just bought oil paints and linseed oil, sabi kasi nung binilan ko kailangan daw to so i bought it, pero i dunno how to use it lol, ilalagay po ba to sa canvas before painting, o ihahalo sa oil paint? please help

linseed pang mix sa oil paint para madaling i-spread sa canvass. it add transparencies and glow sa oil paint mo.

tips: before applying oil paints sa canvass mag-base paint ( acrylic or something) ka muna ng manipis para di konsumo sa oilpaint

thanks a lot for that tips sir!, can i apply linseed on the surface of the canvas? kasi ive watched a video, mag nilagay na transparent liquid sa canvas bago nag paint ng oil, pwede po ba linseed para dun?

depnde sa idedesign mo sir. kung abstract at pinaghahalong color puede, pero kung detailed, mahihirapan ka. pinapalabnaw ng linseed oil ang oil paint, kaya madaling ihagod at ishade.

use fixer kung walag acrylic paint para sa base. baka eto iyong nakikita mong inaaply nila bago magpaint. iyong iba tawag dito binder.

i really dont have an idea on oil painting, anong pang wash ng brush if im changing colors? turpentine ba sir? at binder po ba ang "white spirit"? please help

Used turpentine sir, But turpentine is expensive but perfect for oil color & brushes, sometimes I used ordinary paint thinner or lacquer for cleaning brushes & used turpentine & linseed oil for thinning & applying such techniques.
