menchie, galing mo talaga, pwede kang maging art critique... i have to admit nahaluuhan na ng vietnamese... cultural influence baga...

may ginagawa ako ngayon fusion ng vietnamese at pilipino will post soon. dito rin. i have to be honest i love really the influece of many culture.. nung tinitingnan ko yung african culture ang daming kong nagwang drawings at paintings wiht that influence...

Nomer ..... mey pagkakapareho ang Vietnamese at Pinoy ... mey iba lang ... .. basta mey iba lang. .

maybe because i've seen a lot of paintings .. lalo pag pinoy.. madami din naman akong pinoy painter na mga friends from UST.. mga kasai sa 13th artists... kaya nadi-distinguish ko na ang mga ibat ibang works.

African ang in ata ngaun .. Try to see Indian painter's works also.. makulay..

yeap, you can only criticize properly paintings if your completely immersed with it. tuloy mo yan menchie... will see some of those series before pro most of them nasa ibang tao at an dami ko sa bahay namin sa hanoi.

I did some charcoal paintings before, lalo nung college years.
sayang nasa pinas...ung iba naarbor na rin....
I would love to learn oil paintings pero noon ang mamahal ng materials...

sana ngayon makagawa ako kahit ilan lang...
and I would like to have some pointers from you.
seeing your paintings bring back the times nung puro kamay
lang ang gamit ko, alang mouse...saraaaaaaaaap balikan.......
haaaaaaaay....

nainspired ako sa mga post mo ser dude nomer...
hopefully matulungan moko sa oil paintings...

i dont think it surrealism or painting in dreams/ fantasy... mine i guess is more on using abstraction but the form is still there. i love to explore different styles. so therefore still finding a what they called a style where i could be identified with... actually the amalgamation between 3d and painting is what i want to explore since very few i guess choose that approach...

haha you should be an artcritic sis.. malapit na yan hehehe.. tama ka duon sa boy with malaking mata... im inpired with the impressionist. big brush strokes, quick.. impasto style. like the post impressionist. I like also the expressionism approach in their subject and even in abstract form..

actually because of the time span of the paintings. magkakaiba ngang influence na... recently the elongation, and distrotion with local culture was the one i seem developing. A bit with a Mondigliani's influence but overall i love the outcome. i just sold some of them =.. kaya lang mura 100USD lang a piece... anyhow its not about the value at the moment its more about the love of doing them....
