Driver's License

Magandang araw po mga bossing.
may tanong na naman po ako..hehe
Tungkol po sa driver's license.
Dito lang po kasi sa riyadh ako nagkaron ng lisensya, sa pinas po wala.
2 years na po ako nagdadrive dito, private/family car, at pag-uwi ko po ng pinas gusto
ko din po sana makakuha ng Philippines Driver's License. At nakita ko po sa Requirements nila
ay kailangan din ng Student's License para makakuha ng Professional Driver's License.
Ang tanong ko po ay kung pwede ko ipresent and License ko dito sa Saudi instead of Student's License
kasi nga po sa pinas naman dati wala ako/di pa ko nakakuha lisensya.
Naginquire na din po kasi ako sa site ng LTO pero wala naman nagrereply.
Sana po dito meron.

Here, UAE DL ay pwede magamit sa Pinas for 90 days only baka ganyan din sa KSA.

I think, foreign driver's licenses can be used but valid only for 30 days. If you're staying for more than 30 days, then you'll have to apply for a regular license. 

I suggest you go to the nearest LTO office for advice or call them na lang. I'm guessing, 'di mo na kailangan kumuha ng student's license dahil may foreign license ka na.

i have same situation here. 

i only got my license here in riyadh way back in 2008. when i got home in philippines i drove with my ksa license but also applied for philippine license already. madali lang bro. CONVERT mo lang yan wala pang 10 minutes may id ka na pero kukuha ka parin ng mga requirements nila like drug test & medical exams - ang wala lang yung mga test drive at computer exams. bale 1 day lang may non-pro license na ko. good luck!

Pagka-alam ko kahit meron kang Lisensya meron paring exam at iyan ang bagong patakaran "BUSINESS" ng Government yan eh para makapondo rin sila.

Last 2012 lang ako umuwi at nag-apply ng license sa pinas bro.

If you're staying here for long, sundan mo nalang ang process of taking a student license, tapos saka ka apply ng driver's license, at the same time, gamiting mo muna ang foreign license mo habang hinihintay mo ang 1 month na student license bago makakuha ng license. weird system but it's fine I guess.
