you did a great job sir ed..ganda ng design and rendering..although kailangan pa nga adjust yung ibang parts like the garage dahil nagmukhang payat yung mga columns. then suggest ko lang yung konting reflection ng environment sa glass material para hindi mukang haunted house..hihihi.just kidding.

@reggie0711: sobrang nagmamadali, kaya di ganung napagtu-unan yung roofing. Wala akong magawa sa design, hindi kasi ako ang nagdesign, taga model at render lang ako dito.

@zildjian: salamat sa comment boss...ha ha ha....yung sa glass, may nilgay akong pre-modelled house sa harap ng structure, kaso, ayaw talagang magreflect ng glass, based kasi yung settings sa isang tutorial na gawa ng isang malaysian. Hayaan mo, sa next render, gamitin ko ulit yung settings ko.

Thanks to all..i'll try to post the lighting setup later this week. I am quite busy at the office, I might go on overtime in a few days. So, just wait for it, hope I can be able to help specially the new guys here. Para may iba kayong alternative choice sa pag ilaw ng scenes niyo.

ed it's looking good. finally you got the shadow parameter spot on been busy kanina so i just got to see this one now. wala na kong comment ha, since napagusapan na natin to a few days back

@mushroom: I finally got it sir..i just cranked up my IES Sun light intensity from 0.7 up to 1000lx, and viola!, shadows finally appeared. Thanks a lot for all the tips...hope to learn more as we go along...

Thanks sa pagbisita. Minsan lang makatikim ng kumikitang 3d, hehehe...madalas, sarili ko lang gawa talaga. Still learning some more. Post ko yung setup sa weekend.

Approximately 2hrs, 58mins, 13sec ang render time @ 1600x1200pixels. Ang makina ko ay ang usual na gamit ko, Pentium D, 2.8ghz, with 2gigs of RAM.

I am posting the lighting setup for this scene. Special thanks goes to sir mushroom, who shared me the concept for this alternative lighting setup that i used.



And here is my vray settings, most are basically just defaults, cranking them all up would result in crazier rendertimes. I think this setting can render fast on those quad cores and i7 machines.

Adaptive Subdivision: Default settings
Indirect Illumination:

1st Bounce: Irradiance map - 1.0
Secondary Bounces: Light Cache - 0.8

Irradiance map:

Medium (used in final pre-calculation)
HSph. Subdivs: 80
Interp. Samples: 40

Light Cache:

subdivs: 500
the rest default

Environment:
all set to defaults of 1.0
Both GI Environment (skylight) override and Reflection/refraction environment override are both checked.

rQMC Sampler
Adaptive amount: 0.9
Noise Threshold: 0.001

color mapping:

Linear multiply
Dark multiplier: 1.0
Bright Multiplier: 1.0
Gamma: 1.0

Hope this helps. As a disclaimer, I would like to say that these settings are all scene dependent. It might work for you and it might not work for someone else as well. The best tip that I could give is to play with some of the values, preferably the controllers of your color mapping and the intensities of your lights. As for the other settings, you can actually leave it at default, only touching it when you think that the image is deemed to noisy of messed up for your taste.

3 meters front and 2 meters side/rear setback po yan for commercial pero pag residential 2 meters front and 1.5 meters side/rear...

i find it too dark sa garage sir,,, but it could still be corrected in ps...overall,,nice output...
