vray freeze

hi, tulong sir/mam, sino ba nakaranas ng pagkinopya ang vray proxy nang instance ng higit sa tatlo pag inirender naghahang,
gamit ko 3dmax 2012/ 2013 ,vray 2.30.01. model na proxy archmodel 61- no 1 model. comp specs 2600k, hd 6900 series, 16 gb.

check usable virtual memory in Systems Tab inside Max. the default is 400. If your RAM is 16GB you can set it to 10000.

Also check how you create your proxies. The default density is around 5000 ata. You don't really need that large density, you can do away with mga 1000 for trees.

i set my dynamic memory limit to 4000 and 5000 faces each proxies which i always did to my previous version,ngayon lang nangyari sa version na to. ano pong gamit nyong version.

hmm those two are different things. Since you have such high memory you can even boost your Dynamic Memory Limit, probably up to 13,000 give at least 2000mb for max to use. hehe

And when you export your proxies, you don't need 4000 or 5000 faces, you can do away with 1000, or even 500! Try out which works best.

sa 2011 kasi sir it is working with the same scene, pero pag inopen mo sa 2012 or 2013 dun na nagloloko, tinatry ko ngayon, kahit ilang proxy i convert ko na ibabang model gumagana, pero pag copy ko nang intance yung isang proxy yun na pagnirender nagfreeze na.

Hmm ganun ba. Sorry bro i've only ever used max 2010, so I can't answer your problem.

sometimes files created with older versions of max and vray which are opened/rendered in newer versions tends to crash or takes too long to render.
