3ds max 2012 frequent freeze

Sirs need help on this.

I just got bumped into this problem recently.
there are times/during commands 3ds max freezes for 5-10 seconds, and that's already a waste of time.
Do crossover/network got something to do with this? my computers are shared.
Please help!

Sir medyo hindi masyado clear yung problem mo .. commands 3ds max freezes? you mean everytime you press a button it freeze? naka remote network ba yang 3dsmax mo? or mismo sa PC mo naka install .. crossover/network a little bit confuse , naka linux kaba crossover within a network? paki explain lang in a simple way para maka tulong kami ..

3ds max are installed on both pcs.
pcs are shared thru a crossover cable, both are in windows 7 platform sir ed.
even i select an object it freezes, or by clicking material editor.
i thought of 3ds max autosave has got something to do. but the default time interval for autosave is 5 mins.

what's the specifications of your PC? what antivirus your using? what version of 3dsmax you've installed?

3ds max 2012 on both, also windows 7 on both sir ed.
all in 64 bit.
pc 1- core 2 quad with gt 440 GC, bitdefender AntiV free edition

pc 2- i7 with gtx 560 ti GC, ESET bundled from OS.

try to test remove antivirus .. run 3dsmax ..

ok sir ed, i'll try.
also, even on saving small max files it would take time to respond. or not responding at all. :-(

try to change your graphic display and or the direct x

this happens to me too. my observation, kapag ginamit ko multiscatter, doon nagsta-start yung matagal na saving process. anyone else have the same situation? is it the multiscatter really the culprit?

Guys patulong din,pinalitan ko ung driver ng dirextx9 tapos ganito nangyari, kahit nung ibalik ko sa directx10 ganito pa rin,

nagkasira-sira ung model ko pero pag render ko ok naman,tapos ung isang viewport walang lumilitaw,and hindi ako makapagsafe frame kasi nawawala ung image

switch back to direct x9, now i'm sticking to Nitrous as recommended.

nagswitch na ako ng direct x9 pero walang nitrous,same magsstop then wait ilang minuto bakit kaya

have you tried restarting 3ds max? or even your pc sir?
no need to worry on your 3d model, it's just a graphics/display issue.

yup done it over and over again,mayde i should reinstall may 3dsmax (not sure)

a simple revert of graphics display would do the trick, mapa directx9, directx10 or even OpenlGL. but in your case it's weird sir. how about updating your graphics driver?!

yup weird nga sir,just got the latest update still same, same settings with my pc at home but problems only happens in my pc here at the office
