Competition #2: CG|Pinoy Lighting and Texturing Competition
First topic message reminder :
Objective of the Competition:
1. To promote camaraderie among cgpinoy members. (upang magkaron ng maraming kaibigan)
2. To share ideas on lighting and texturing a scene. (upang maibahagi at matuto ng mga makabagong kalaaman sa paglapat ng materyales at pagilaw ng isang obra.)
3. To enhance one's skill as a cg artist. (upang lalo pang maging bihasa bilang artista)
4. To have fun! (upang magsasaya ang lahat!)
Rules and Regulations of the Competition:
1. The Competition is open to all CG|Pinoy members.
2. Forum rules still apply.
3. A model is provided for this competition. Editing of the original model is not allowed(except for adding cracks and deterioration characteristics), you can only enhance the scene by putting on textures, lighting and other accessories. Since the challenge is about lighting and texturing, you may add any 3d models and accesories at your own risk. CGP is not liable for the models you will be using.
4. You have the freedom to move the camera at any point of view you desire. Take the best angle just like a photographer.
5. You may use any software. Post-proccessing is allowed.
6. We encourage that you optimize your images to 800 pixels wide. Images higher than 800px shall be provided with a link.
7. You may post any number of entries. The more entries, the more chances of winning
8. The contest will end on March 31, 2009. A group of jury will select the 10 best images. A poll will start thereafter and will run for 8 days.
9. 3 winners will be chosen as our Grand Prize, 1st Runner Up, and 2nd Runner Up winners.
10. A tutorial/wip of the winning entries shall be provided.
11. Prizes will be announced soon.

report: the .OBJ file can downloaded but if we open via MAYA 2009, it's ERROR......but there's lot of other version can be use too, it's not problem to me so far. i've used max 9 file then export it to .OBJ then imported to MAYA 2009. hehehe........

try to use the other OBJ file i posted on the other link found on the front page. its a new one. i try it on my maya 2009 and its working. sorry for the first conversion .... ok its here >>>roomobj<<<

On the other hand, pwede din na hindi ka na magmodel, salpak nalang ng salpak ng gamit. para maiba naman sa cgtalk and 3d allusions. ok ba un?

So parang optional na lang kung magmodel or hindi?
Kasi may nagawa na akong concept...pero dependent yung scene sa models so kilangan ko talaga mag model x_x
Optional na lang nga siguro yung modelling. Kung gusto mo maglagay ng extra models or not. Pero yung majority ng score will be based sa Lighting and Texturing ng scene pa rin talaga. Ganun na lang, hehehe

The final decision will be based sa final output. we will not dwell into the technicality of the texturing and lighting process. we will accept whatever process you will be doing. as long as the final output will be awesome.
The process will come after, kung sino man ang mananalo, he/she will provide us with a WIP/Tutorial of his/her entry for the whole community.
