precision on 3ds max.
good day,
i'm trying to learn 3ds max2010,
is there anyway to be precise on length and angle in drawing lines, walls, objs, etc. in 3ds max?

Sadly, with 3dsmax, we won't get as precise as we would like with software like Autocad or Rhino.
Aside from the ones posted above, one of the most important basic things to get a grip on is the Snap tool. This tool gives me the precision i need since i always work with 3DSmax + Autocad in tandem.

There is a way to be precise with drawing lines, among others. Nasa diskarte lang yan.
In fact, i can draw 2d lines in max, and make it function like your autocad, pwede din makapag trim, extend ng lines dyan.
You can also make the snap tool function like autocad, by simply checking the use axis constrain option in the grid and snaps settings dialog box.
Basta, just think of how you usually do it in cad. I used to model in cad before. Somehow, i was able to migrate or translate all the concepts in cad to max, using max's very own tools.
