Thea Renders

Exploring Thea engine.

A year ago I started Thea but disappointed with its speed. After a week of practicing i gave up. A friend told me about some changes. I tried it again.. Im starting all over again. I am a newbie with it but Im please with what it could accomplish with its THea Chameleon version.

Here is a test. Thanks to Ka Eldy tendero (tribal wednesday) for the sketchup bulol. and and indonesian friend for the three indonesian masks. the pillow, the chairs table and igorot mask were made by me using sketchup..

mapa mental ray mapa vray sa max lahat ng ito ay biased render. ibig sabihin ay depende sa pagkuha ng samplings at interpolations. ANg thea ay both biased at unbiased. Kung unbiased render mas sakto ang calculations kumpara sa real world situation. so mas realistic. ikalawa ang mga materials ay physically based. yun ang advantage. disadvantage of course loooooooonggggg rendering time. diba yung vray yun naman ang advantage kahit biased render sya pwede nyang ipagmayabang ang quality nya.... so in the end nasa user parin. kung yung user pwedeng maghintay at may makinarya para sa magandang magandang kalidad, then go for thea. pero kung wala naman at gusto ay mabilisan at magandang quality by knowing what to tweak in the parameters so mag vraymax ka...

thea is fast using adaptive bsd. I like it's realtime preview one of the fastest out there like keyshot and faster than iray(cpu/gpu) and vray rt (cpu)without limitations...all features are supported like sss, displacement, post processing etc. Tighter integration will be released soon. I wonder kung magiging mahigpit na kakumpetensya sya ng maxwell. Kasi ang fryrender/arion at indigo (both cpu and gpu) sobrang bibilis na unbiased using gpu eh di pa rin ganun katight ang plugin integrations sa ibang software kaya di masyadong sikat.

if i will use adaptive bsd then maybe i will use vray.. what really i like with thea is the fast calculation when it comes to unbiased engine. wla ng samplings tuloy tuloy lang and while its calculating then you can still do the camera exposure at the same time. you can even relight it like in maxwell. and the workflow with colimo is cool. having said that im still noob with it. i know naborghsojo8 will have more experience since you seem know the biased part of it greatly.

i also like the proxy.. this render is thea's raw output.

oo nga bilis ng unbiased...ito experiment ko sa ecosystem nya...hehehe medyo baboy baboy lang ang distribution di ko pa gamay...low res din nagamit kong clouds sa background di nagmatch

For exterior talagang effective gamitin ang UNbiased TR1 or TR2 basta walgn gaanong refraction mabilis na sya at wala ng noise, at kung may noise naman you can always use topaz denoise... pati optics bro kaya talaga nya...

galing ng light rays mo. i have not explored that.

oo nga bagal talaga sa interior ng bsd at tr2...kung maging gpu powered sya baka makacatch up...sa vray walang sakit sa ulo pagdating sa interior

Very nice, buti kayo may time pa mag aral ng ibang tools. This is the one thing that i can no longer do with my present work. I missed rendering stuff na din.

ako rin bro hirap magahanap ng oras to squeeze. pero talagang nilagay ko sa goal setting ko for this year..

wala din time usually 1 day ko lang uupuan babasahin manual tapos ayun na...kapa kapa na so makakailang experiment muna per area of concern for weeks bago makuha...usually yung worflow muna tapos lighting tapos materials. Sa materials di ko pa masyadong gamay puro basic lang lagi ginagamit ko minsanan lang ako magprocedural at layered.
