i think you are right about the contrast, i was using an old lcd at home
(w/ low contrast specs) when i made the comment. it looks clean here
on my office monitor.

suggestion ko - instead of increasing the exposure, slow down the shutter speed instead, and use ISO 100 if you can

Re: NIGHT SHOTS & LOW LIGHT
Nice ones sir Celes. I love wide angles. Too bad we don't have "access" to Tokinas here in the U.A.E. The widest I have is the 18-200mm.

Great night shots guys!
Some low light stuff.... Experiments on lighting design using one fixed light sources and another one hand held. CCs are appreciated.

Austria, no need for such high ISO as there will be harsh noise that will render your image unusable. f11 will do just fine don't forget to set to a slow shutter speed, prob test at 1/10secs then slower if not bright enough. if your camera reached its slowest shutter speed limit (mine's at 1/20secs), you can still afford to lower the aperture setting to at least F8. meron pang 'bulb mode' technique you can explore later on. actually your camera's TTL meter should give you a good indication for exposing correctly (learn how to use it). good luck!
slowest shutter speed @ 1/20secs? it's a 20th fraction of a second
i think sir tutik refers to 20secs or 20" and not 1/20secs
