bump problem Empty bump problem

hello sir,

I'm having this problem on my material, everytime i place bump i end up with this problem(as seen on image below). i think there is something wrong with my model.. am i right? please help.. i'm still a rookie..

what software are you using? and is this vray?

if you are using 3ds max + vray.. you might have place vraydisplacementmod into the object.. If thats the case put a check into the "keep continuity" option

looks like Vray displacement modifier instead of a bump. ^what he said. or try adjusting the offset settings.

3dmax+vray sir.. i'm sorry sir sentido,you lost me there pale ... the "vraydisplacementmod" you were saying was the "displacement map"? there is a check box inside displacement map?

sir sentido i think i found the vraydisplacementmod method. pero the "keep continuity" check box didn't work.. Embarassed

hi sorry for late reply.. check your material, see if you have placed a "displace" map.. removed it, and put "vraydisplacementmod" modifier into your object with "keep continuity" option ON

Don't use the displacement map of the material. Instead, yung vraydisplacement modifier ang gamitin mo. There you can control the height and check the continuity.

thanks sir bokkins and sir sentido.. i think i'll have to explore more of it( vraydisplacement modifier).. medyo nangangapa pa eh.. update ko po kayo if it works..
