Is this dome only? No GI? Dome as hemisphere? Sphere?
How about direct lights?

I'm interested in seeing the screenshots. By then saka na lang ako magtanong! Cool render BTW!

Sure thing Roy.

1 Vray light, dome. With an HDRI map applied. Tried using a vray sun to complement the scene - didn't turn out nicely so I switched it off. Interiors and mood lights are all vray spherical lights. On render, the usual - GI turned on, IR primary, lightcache 2ndary.

Will do some screen grabs so I can explain further.

here's the setup. simple. 1 HDRI light, vray lights scattered to create the interior moods, etc. other settings dont matter - just the ones i highlighted. this is of course my first try so i have yet to explore the values.

amazingly realistic and yes, exotic car heaven. Love the look, feel, ambiance. Everything. I particularly like how the Audi R8 came out, with the metallic sheen. Amazing work sir!

Did you also set input and output gamma to 2.2 in your max system settings?

hi ed - nope. just in the render output. im finding it difficult to control the reflection/glossiness etc values using 2.2 in the max system settings.

Ah...my last rendered work(before this ultra-long 3d sabbatical), which unfortunately i can't post here uses that 2.2 input/ouput gamma setup..kinda tricky at first.

I'll give your setup a try next month when i am finally free with my commitments.
