simply observe our very own bahay kubo, then observe also the other asian houses ( pictures and on net), kung ano ang makikita mong pagkaka-iba iyon din ang aming makikita. its just a matter of observation

Project mo to ano? Hindi tanong lang, discussion should start from you.
The concept is to use the local material.

bahay kubo - compared to - east asian houses
our bahay kubo got the following:
- rat guard on every leg - not sure if others got the same, too [arg! how shall i describe this!]
basta parang nag ma-mountain climbing kasi yung rat, diba? so pag medyo naabot nya yung dulo,
meron something dun perpendicular to the legs, para mahulog siya - [kawawang daga! ahaha]
- bintana natin pataas ang bukas [awning type?]
- sa japs, sideways. they call it "shoji" [watch kenshin hemura - the last samurai!]
- our walls mostly made of...................a type of leaf [arg what a memory!]
- japs got the paper ones [not the papel-de-hapon ah]
- our floors got the bamboo type [di uso pandakot ata kasi - direcho sa butas ng floor yung winalis]
- while japs got the "tatami" mats [bakit? ............................malay]
- another unique feature: the built-in dish rack just right beside the sink at their "batalan" or kitchen. oh diba, organize!
- yung nakita ko sa "Jewel in the Palace" [ng korea?] wala silang ganon - pero iba ung organization nila ng kitchen
- our roof simpleng buhay lang - pababa and pyramidal din [normal lang ba...] hehe
- sa oriental or japs, they have traversed/pitched eaves - may flair. [i think it got to do with their beliefs - i forgot why...]
- bali peeps got interesting ones: [i think the steep roof has something to do with better ventilation]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Batak_Toba_House.jpg and http://anakdewa46.wordpress.com/2008/01/09/rumah-adat/
- colors/decors - earthy - browns. [tuwing pahiyas lang ata makulay]
- colors ng oriental - ay masaya dude! three to five and carving galore!
some pics

[nag evolve]
that's all i can add... have fun!
