3ds max 2011 material application problem Empty 3ds max 2011 material application problem

help po sa problema sa material application ng classmate ko po.
bali ang aaplayan niya lang po ng material ay isang side or face ng object. so "edit poly" tapos select the face or side to be applied. tapos po magiging red na iyong face, tapos apply material, ayun po, lahat parin nalalagyan... ano po kaya ang problema or may napindot po siya na hindi tama?
salamat po in advance.

ito po iyong actual PM niya:
"pero hiwalay hiwalay xa
pag pinindot mo
kunwari naging red na
tapos kapag lalagyan mo na ng texture
lahat nalalagyan kahit hindi na kasaelect"

i guess naglagay siya ng edit poly as modifier. try converting it to poly then proceed with the procedures

salamat po sa pag daan RM

ganun parin daw po sir, we think it has something to do with UI settings, may nabago po yata siya doon.

Try to assign Material ID .. tapos gawa siya ng Multi sub Material for example na select nya ang isang face ng polygon tapos punta siya sa Material ID tapos assign nya .. tapos click na naman sya ulit isa pa din assign ulit .. kung anong ID ang na assign mo yan din ang susundin ng Multi-Sub Material mo . Hope nka help ..

and also try Master Ronel's advice e convert mo muna sa editable poly to avoid memory leak or minsan bugs 3ds max 2011 material application problem 808695

I believe punta sya Customize - > Custom UI and Default Switcher - > make sure naka Max lang sya baka naka DesignViz sya probably nakikita nya same colors lang lahat.. pa change na lang sa Max.

lagyan mo ng editmesh modifier. select mo yung face na gusto mo then hanapin mo yung explode sa editmesh. hihiwalay na sya as mesh. pwedi mo na syang lagyan ng material. sana makatulong.

Ako naman ang gamit ko dyan is edit poly, tapos detach yung gusto kong maiba na face. Saka ko apply ng material.

Ok din ang material ID. Pero pag madalian na, mahirap habuli to.
